Best co-op and multiplayer games on Roblox
20. Altitorture (2 Player Obby)
In this intense obstacle course, you and your partner must work together to climb out of a deep, unforgiving pit. The catch? You’re both attached by an elastic rope, making coordination and communication key to your success. No wonder this game got added to our best obbies list!
Playing with a friend isn’t just recommended—it’s essential for the Altitorture (2 Player Obby) experience. The elastic rope connecting you adds a unique twist to the game, forcing you to rely on each other to navigate the treacherous climb. Learning how to use the rope to your advantage is crucial as you face obstacles that will test your patience and teamwork. Each step forward requires careful synchronization, and every misstep could send both of you tumbling back down.
19. Block Tales
Block Tales was inspired by Paper Mario 64 and Earthbound. Each chapter of the game has been released as an update, and it’s still active – with just over 1700 players still logging in to enjoy the game.
You’re going to spend the first few minutes of the game running around a bizarre office building, occasionally getting into fights with tiny people that are no taller than your leg. It’s… Well, it’s weird. But it’s fun.
The combat system takes a few battles to get used to, especially the dodging aspect. Once you’ve got it down, you should be able to continue your blocky adventure with ease.
18. Apeirophobia
Inspired by the eerie creepypasta “The Backrooms” and the chilling “Backrooms Found Footage” series by Kane Pixels, this game is perfect for groups of friends who enjoy solving puzzles and surviving heart-pounding encounters with mysterious entities.
Apeirophobia is best experienced with friends by your side. Going solo in this labyrinth of endless rooms can be daunting, and you’ll need all the help you can get to unravel the mysteries and avoid the lurking dangers.
My friends and I managed to clear a few levels together, and trust me, teamwork is essential when navigating the dark corridors and solving the complex puzzles that block your path!
17. Wizard Tycoon – 2 Player
Step into the magical world of Wizard Tycoon, where you and a friend can team up to become the ultimate wizarding duo! This tycoon game lets you choose one of two roles and work together to produce potions, brooms, and wizard hats. The goal? To amass wealth and power while building your magical empire!
The game really shines when played with a friend. Collaboration is key as you both take on complementary roles to maximize your production and earn money. As you gather resources and grow your wealth, you’ll unlock a whole new aspect of the game—using wands to attack enemy teams! This adds an exciting competitive element as you and your partner must defend your tycoon while trying to outsmart rival wizards.
16. Flee the Facility
Evidently, I’m just suggesting a bunch of scary games at this point. Flee the Facility is a game where you play a survivor running from a Beast. A minimum of three players are needed for the game to start – two survivors, one Beast.
I’ve got to say… I was not expecting the Beast player to creep up behind me with a red light and that look on her face. That’s going to stick with me. I was doing quite well up until that point!
15. Build a Boat for Treasure
Featured on our best Roblox games tier list, Build a Boat for Treasure is a great game if you and your friends are up for a creative and adventurous challenge. While the main goal is to construct a sturdy boat that can make it through the stages, the possibilities are endless – you can build cars, planes, houses… Whatever you want, really.
Playing with friends adds a whole new layer of fun to Build a Boat for Treasure. You all start out on a large, flat area surrounded by hills, perfect for creating ambitious builds. Using the hammer tool, you and your friends can use objects from your inventories to create a boat together.
When you hit the “launch” button, the flat building area transforms into a watery path, and your creation is pushed into a large channel of water. From there, it’s a wild ride through various themed stages, each filled with different obstacles that will test the durability and design of your build.
14. Eviction Notice
Big Brother meets Roblox in Eviction Notice! You and a bunch of other players need to check-in together to start the game, and then you compete against each other to get the most points in each mini game.
There’s a voting period to vote out players, and plenty of different games to enjoy with your friends. One of my favorite mini games includes painting every square you touch – you win if you have the most squares painted in your color. The fun is running over everyone elses’ squares to try and lower their score while you raise yours.
13. The Mimic
The Mimic is a straight-up horror game full of Japanese lore that is perfect for those late night gaming sessions with your friends. There are four stories in total, each set in a different world inspired by Japanese culture and urban legends.
There are jumpscares, content warnings, and an original soundtrack! The devs have also made it extremely easy to join your friends if you log on later than they do. Just head over to the gamemodes circle and select “Join a friend.”
12. Epic Minigames
Epic Minigames is one of the best games to play with your friends on Roblox, especially if you can’t decide what to play. There is a collection of 130 games to play, which you can enjoy with your friends any time.
There’s also a boardgame version that you can play with friends by selecting the Epic Party mode of the experience.
When you load into the experience, you just need to wait for the next game to start to get involved. You’ll experience all kinds of nonesense, including dodging dragon fire while you shoot canons.
11. Mega Hide and Seek!
Hide and Seek is always fun, but what could be better than Mega Hide and Seek! The map is oversized, meaning that every object is huge compared to its real-life counterpart. There are bounce pads placed around the area, allowing you to jump up onto desks, beds, and more.
You need a few players for a game to start, so you might end up with some randomers unless you can get more friends together to play.
I’d highly advise playing with friends if you decide to try out Mega Hide and Seek! There’s a huge issue with people leaving when they get the seeker role.
10. Zombie Uprising
Prepare for an adrenaline-pumping experience in Zombie Uprising, a co-operative shooter survival game where you and your friends team up to fight off relentless waves of zombies. Armed with over 150 customizable weapons – including guns, rocket launchers, grenades, and more – you’ll need every tool at your disposal to survive the onslaught.
This FPS is best enjoyed with friends, as you can join forces across more than 15 diverse maps, each with its own challenges and strategies. The gameplay is intense: as you survive each wave, the zombies become more difficult to defeat, pushing your teamwork and survival skills to the limit.
The thrill doesn’t end with just surviving. As you progress through the waves, you’ll earn Crates that can be opened for loot in the Crates tab, offering rewards that help you in your battle against the undead.
9. 2 Player Mochi Tycoon
Only have one other friend available for a gaming sesh? No problem! Check out 2 Player Mochi Tycoon, a game where you and your friend work together to create a mochi restaurant like no other!
I highly recommend getting a friend to play this one with you. If you join the experience alone, other players constantly come and go and it’s rather annoying. You can, however, continue playing without someone filling the other side of your lot. I got pretty far by myself, until a friend came online and could join me.
This is also a great idle game! The mochi continue being produced without your input, provided you have the first flavored mochi update.
8. Launch Into Space Simulator
My friends and I got distracted by the Launch Into Space Simulator during Roblox The Games 2024. We only meant to go in and play for long enough to get the rewards, but we ended up spending significantly more time playing. Mainly because we got distracted by the cool creatures you can hatch and the giant piñata that pops up.
I am the proud owner of three Axolotols.
7. Natural Disaster Survival
Once you load into the experience, you’ll soon be transported to a map where you must survive a natural disaster. Natural Disaster Survival has several scenarios, from meteor showers to thunder and flash floods.
The rounds are fast, but the game is easy to play and it doesn’t take any time at all for you to figure out how to join in. I think the meteor shower was my favorite scenario here; we got lucky with a construction site and I immediately hid inside a long concrete thing. Watching the other players get scattered into pieces around me was interesting.
6. Desert Island Survival
Desert Island Survival is the ultimate game for you and your friends to test your resource management skills. In this game, you’ll find yourself on a deserted island, tasked with expanding and upgrading it to ensure the survival and prosperity of your islanders.
Start by taking in more islanders and assigning them tasks to gather resources and build structures. As you expand your island, don’t forget to modify buildings to make your settlement more prosperous. Keeping your islanders well-fed is crucial, so produce plenty of food and meat to avoid hunger.
Assigning houses to your islanders is another important step. A good night’s sleep in a house helps them recover energy, allowing them to work more efficiently. As your island grows, you’ll also need to set up trade buildings to exchange goods and craft advanced tools that boost productivity.
5. Pressure
This is a horror game; end of story. Pressure reintroduces the kind of jumpscares you might remember from when you were younger, with the faces are blown up on your PC screen for a mere second.
You play an inmate who has been drafted to find a crystal. Your only duty is to find that crystal. You aren’t warned about the various horrors that await you, lurking around the rooms you run in and out of. Dying is part of the game, and you’ll actually get more information about the creatures hunting you the more times you die.
Good luck.
4. LOCOfficial!
Previously known as UNOfficial, LOCOfficial! is essentially the Roblox version of the classic card game Uno – just with a new name. The rules are familiar and easy to pick up: players take turns playing cards that match the current color, symbol, or number of the center pile. If you can’t play a card, or choose not to, you’ll have to draw one, which can be played immediately if it matches the pile.
The real fun begins with the action cards, which can change the course of the game in an instant, keeping everyone on their toes. But be careful – before you play your second-to-last card, you must remember to call “Official!” If one of your friends catches you forgetting, you’ll be forced to draw two cards, adding a sneaky layer of strategy to the game.
3. Cake Off! (TEXTURES)
If you’ve got a sweet tooth and a creative flair, Cake Off! (TEXTURES) is the perfect game to satisfy your cravings! With a new texture system that includes over 22 unique textures, more than 30 themes to choose from, and a host of improvements to the cake-editing system, this game lets you create your dream cake and showcase your baking skills like never before.
In Cake Off!, you can unleash your inner pastry chef by designing and decorating cakes that are as stunning as they are delicious. Collect exclusive decorations to add a personal touch to your creations, and strive to become the ultimate baker.
Playing with a friend adds a fun competitive twist—you can go head-to-head to see who can create the best cake based on the chosen theme.
2. Dress to Impress
Dress to Impress is a game that shines when played with friends. You’ve got about five minutes to put together your best look, then it’s time to strut your stuff on the runway. You and your friends will walk down the runway one by one, showing off your themed outfits and even striking poses for extra flair. The real fun begins when the voting starts—everyone rates each outfit on a scale of 1 to 5 stars.
The stars and money you earn from votes can be used to buy exclusive items in the dressing room – which is why it’s so important to play with people you know or in a farming server where everyone gives five stars.
If you used to love the dressing up part of Bratz games or enjoy creating characters on sites like Picrew, Dress to Impress is the perfect Roblox experience for you.
1. WARTIDE
If you’re looking for a good medieval-style co-op game to play with your friends, WARTIDE is perfect. I played this one with three other friends, and although one of us always managed to end up on the wrong team, we still enjoyed ourselves.
You can choose from three combat styles: Duelist, Jauggernaut, Ranger. Having never played before, I jumped in as a Duelist and proceeded to help my companions slaughter the opposition. You do, eventually, get the option to switch teams, but it takes a while.
