5 things to expect in a Road Warrior-like Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3

As players near the end of Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2 (Myths and Mortals), we embrace a new season that mixes vehicles with weapons. Here’s everything fans can expect from Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 (Red).

Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 (Red) is coming soon

The upcoming season of Fortnite Battle Royale will be the favorite for fans of franchises such as Mad Max and Twisted Metal. From new vehicles and guns to unique POIs on the map, there’s a lot to look forward to. Here are the five main changes players can expect from next season.

Armored vehicles for the whole squad

Back in Fortnite Chapter 2, IO was an organization that threatened the island’s stability and played a big role in the game’s plot. It also launched new weapons and vehicles that were strong enough, including the IO Tank that could hold a whole squad. This tank could also fire missiles and protect itself from incoming bullets.

In the next season, players can expect similar vehicles but something a lot faster and deadlier. Since the latest map changes in Fortnite keep a larger landscape for more vehicles to roam freely, there is a big chance that we will see cars that are faster, yet protect squads from bullets and missiles.

In fact, creators and streamers have already started receiving feedback from Epic Games about new vehicle additions to the game.

Customizable vehicles with gun mods

The current meta in Fortnite Battle Royale already supports mods and add-ons. Keeping this in mind, it is very likely that the new season of Fortnite (Wrecked) will do the same with vehicles. A few seasons ago, players could access the icon Battle bus but not only as a drivable vehicle. Instead, players could use a turret (placed above) same as a cow catcher attached to become destructive forces of nature.

Next season, we can expect something similar where cars are modifiable to the point where different guns (like turrets and missile launchers) can be attached to plain looking vehicles.

Vehicular arena battles

Just like the Mad Max movies, vehicular combat and arenas could find a way into the next season of the game. Currently, Rocket Racing has many cars that are suitable to race even on Battle Royale Island. However, this has not been explored in a way that would support combat.

In the upcoming season, players could feel like warriors as they wage war on the roads against other players; we could look 1v1 or 4v4 battles that can either be part of the regular Battle Royale mode or have its own separate mode in Fortnite.

Multi-terrain mobility

Fortnite’s island has several different regions – forests, hills/mountains, deserts and an entire ocean that surrounds it. However, mobility is still limited, unless we consider Wings of Icarus (who will be gone next season).

This will be the perfect time to wait for new vehicles that are able to maneuver over different types of terrains without breaking down. In fact, the card sent by Epic to content creators mentions “cars inspired by Chapter 5 Season 3 so you can practice your rotations”, which is a clear sign of what we can expect from the upcoming seasons (ie multipurpose wheels and suspensions/engines which off road support).

Vehicle boss fight

Ever since Fortnite Chapter 2 took boss battles a little seriously, fans have witnessed multiple bosses like Midas and Meowscle wander around the map. Similarly, the next season will have new characters, and there is a chance that some of them will roam the island in large cars that can be stolen by players.

Or, we may have to fight them. Think of it as a duel between vehicleswhere bullets, wheels, and rockets are involved.
