While Epic Games is working to configure and update the Fortnite servers for the release of Chapter 5 Season 3, data miners and leakers are busy going through the files of the new update and may have found some information about crossovers for both Pirates of the Caribbean and yet. another Marvel collaboration.
The news comes via reputable data miner HYPEX. First, they revealed that a Fortnite x Pirates of the Caribbean crossover will arrive later this season. A Treasure Map – which will likely lead players to some buried loot – and a Pirate Cannon are all that have been revealed as part of this crossover right now. I would assume that as part of an approved crossover, a Captain Jack skin, at least, will also be available for purchase in the Item Shop.
HYPEX also revealed that the theme for Season 4 will be Marvel, if you don’t end up with superheroes in Fortnite. The only information we have about the season so far is that Wolverine’s Claws will be renewed, as well as Striker Burst Rifle. A Super Launch Pad will also be a part of the season, but fans are already hoping that this shows a specific X-Men theme for the upcoming season.
A roadmap for Fortnite in 2024 leaked last month and claimed that Season 4 would be a Marvel-themed season. These leaks seem to lend credence to the legitimacy of the roadmap, which means we could be looking at an OG Chapter 2 season coming in November. As a big fan of the OG season last year, I would be all for this.
