Of the 16 maps prepared for the launch of Black Ops 6, we will be playing eight during the Beta period:

  1. Scud
  2. rewind
  3. Babylon
  4. Skyline
  5. Abandoned
  6. Stakeout
  7. Gala
  8. A ditch

You can check out the overview of each of these maps and their environment in the images above. Out of these eight lists, five are Core 6v6 Maps while the remaining three are Strike Maps. Strike Maps have compact designs for more chaotic gameplay and are built for 2v2 and Face Off 6v6 game modes. You can check the gameplay on these maps of the CoD Next event flow where hundreds of creators tried Black Ops 6 for the first time. Or else, you can wait until the Beta early access, which starts on August 30, to get a first-hand experience. An important detail mentioned by one of the developers is that they will be bringing back some older favorite Black Ops maps with seasonal updates.

All game modes in Black Ops 6 Beta

Below is a list of all game modes featured in the Black Ops 6 Beta:

  • Kill Order (new mode): Protect your HVT and attack the other team’s HVT. Each elimination is counted as a point, but an HVT elimination gets more points.
  • Team Deathmatch: Eliminate opponents and the first team to hit the score limit wins.
  • Governance: Capture and hold three flags, score points and secure the victory.
  • Hardpoint: Catch and hold the rotation zone, score points and secure the victory.
  • Kill Confirmed: Eliminate opponents and collect their Dog tags to earn points. Taking a friendly tag will deny a potential score to the enemies.

Please note that this is not the final list and some other game modes besides those may also be shown during the Beta. These are some of the classic modes that are featured in each year’s Call of Duty Beta. Black Ops 6 developers also mentioned some small but important changes to these Core 6v6 modes. For example, they replace flags with objective stands in Domination, and for Hardpoint, numbers have been added to objective points so that it becomes easier for players to learn the rotation pattern.
