All Medallion attributes and what they do in The Rogue Prince of Persia
There are five attribute categories that most Medallions in The Rogue Prince of Persia fit into. I will explain all these Medallion attributes and how to use them in the Rogue Prince of Persia.
Every Medallion attribute in The Rogue Prince of Persia.
26 of the 30 Medallions in the Rogue Prince of Persia can be sorted into one of these five Medallion attribute categories. The four that are not combined into their own “other” category due to their unique abilities.
poison
The Poison attribute creates a small, green cloud of poisonous gas when the Medallion’s conditions are met. All enemies that touch this cloud will be poisoned. They will slowly take damage over a short period of time. The effect will last as long as they are continuously re-poisoned. It’s an easy way to drain an enemy’s health while protecting yourself from damage. Hit enemies will emit small green bubbles, like Berude does in the image above, and have a similar symbol above their health bar.
There are seven Medallions with the Poison effect. Each has either “Poison” or “Toxic” in its name. They include:
- Neurotoxic Agent
- Sleight of Poison
- Toxic Counter
- Toxic Death
- Toxic Bullet
- Toxic Shock
- Toxic Vault
Resin
The Resin effect appears as a dark purple stain on the soil of the affected area. All enemies standing on the fluid will move slower than they normally do. Hit enemies have a small dark cloud shaped symbol above their health bar. It is a helpful effect against fast enemies. It is also useful for players who use slower weapons, such as the Tabar.
All Medallions with the Resin effect have the word “Sticky” in their name. There are five in total, including the following:
- Sticky Dive
- Sticky Kick
- Sticky Shield Breaker
- Sticky Sleight
- Sticky Vault
daggers
Medallions with the Dagger effect will fire Daggers at nearby enemies when their conditions are met. This will happen after performing a physical action directed at the afflicted enemy, such as kicking or jumping over them. These Daggers deal additional, staggering damage to the enemies they hit.
Dagger medals have the word “Cutting” at the beginning of their name. The following three Medallions make up that group.
- Cutting Dive
- Cutting Kick
- Cutting Vault
Fire
Like the Poison attribute, the Fire attribute affects those who touch it. It does continuous damage to them while they are standing in the flames, lasting for a short period after they leave them. Enemies on fire will have visible flames coming from them, as well as a small fire symbol above their health bar.
All but one of the Medallions with the Fire effect have flaming in their name. All six Medallions that contain this effect are as follows:
- Flame Dive
- Flaming Kick
- Flaming Bullet
- Flaming Shield Breaker
- pyromaniac
- Ranged Flaming Counter
healing
This category is broader because it consists of every Medallion that restores your health. Although they do not have common names, they undeniably belong to this category.
- Health insurance
- Chance Knocks
- Restorative Dream Fragment
- Vampire Decay
Other Medallions
This category encompasses all Medallions that did not fit into the previous five categories. Some are relatively basic, while others have unique uses that stand out compared to the rest of the Medallions.
- Bloody Spoils – gives players coins for killing enemies.
- Immortal – Revives you if you die.
- Paper Lion – increases the damage players take and deal.
- Shield breaker – Increases damage done to shields and restores energy points.
- spartan – restores energy when an enemy is kicked into an obstacle.
