The list contains all available weapons up to Chapter 3. We will add information about all remaining weapons and how to get next Grade Levels soon!

Is It Worth Buying Weapons From The Shop?

In general, it’s only worth buying one postgrad weapon in the shop after next grade weapons start appearing. That’s because the only good thing you’ll get from them is extra DPS. The passives and the quality (+1, +2, etc.) is always the same and worse than what you can get from battle drops. In addition, you will need cash to buy consumables and Martial Arts from shops as well.

What Are the Best Weapons to Use in Dynasty Warriors Origins?

In Dynasty Warriors Origins, you unlock new weapons gradually as you complete story missions and chapters. Since most of the weapons will be locked during certain stages, we will separate the best weapons list per chapter. With that in mind, here is the weapon ranking for each progression stage in DWO:

Chapter 1 (Early Game)

  1. Longsword: The Longsword has the perfect balance of attack speed and damage. In addition, its Martial Arts are pretty solid, and you can get a Longsword EX from the Shop pretty early.
  2. Lance: The Lance has really good range and solid DPS. It is perfect for dealing with enemies en masse.
  3. Gauntlets: Gauntlets lack range, and they make up for it with their single-target DPS.

Chapter 2 (Middle Game)

  1. Staff: The Staff has insane attack speed, DPS and range. It is the ultimate weapon choice for Chapter 2.
  2. Twin Stabs: The Twin Daggers have amazing range and are the most suitable weapon for dealing with massive hordes of enemies. The Dodge + Light Attack spam is especially good.
  3. Longsword: The Longsword is still a good weapon, even for Chapter 2.
  4. Lance: The Spear is worse than the Twin Spikes and the Staff, but it’s still viable.
  5. wheels: The Wheels have pretty good AoE, but their DPS is lackluster.
  6. Gauntlets: The Protectors are still good for 1v1s, although the Staff is simply better.
  7. Podao: The attack speed of the Poda is terrible. The fact that you have to use it for some training missions will send chills down your spine.
