As of now, you can only evolve and upgrade the secret Gom unit in Anime Shadow, with developers planning to add more units in the upcoming updates or include existing units.

All Evolution Items in Anime Shadow are obtained by playing the trials game mode So, just jump to the Trials and start clearing the rooms one by one to get the items as drop rewards. You can bring any builds for the Trials, because the enemies don’t attack back. However, it’s always best to have a loadout with the most DPS to clear the levels quickly.
Remember, the current drop rates for the evolution items are pretty bad. The developers have promised to improve the items with an immediate patch.
How to evolve a unit in Anime Shadow
To evolve a unit in Anime Shadow, you need to access the evolution engine. You can find this machine to the left of the Trials section. Just go through the Trials portal from the first world and take the left of the shopping cart to find the room with the machine. Here, place your unit and the required materials to evolve them to their best form.
