In addition to the various new units, Anime Vanguards Update 1 also introduces a new single element system to the base game. Many players on multiple platforms are confused about this new gameplay feature compared to the existing features. What are Unit Elements in Anime Vanguards?
Basically, the developers of Anime Vanguards stamped every unit in the game with an element type. These elements provide unique benefits / advantages to the character to increase their overall effectiveness in battle. It can include an increase in damage when attacking a boss, immunity to any kind of debuffs, or other buffs that vary from Element to Element.
All Unit Elements in Anime Vanguards
Currently, there are 10 different Unit Elements in the game, and you can see the buffs provided by each of them below.
- Fire – All Fire Elemental Units will be immune to Snare.
- Water – All Water Elemental Units will be immune to SPA debuffs.
- nature – All Natural Elemental Units will be immune to DMG debuffs.
- A spark – The Units classified as Spark are immune to DMG damage
- Saint – Each Holy Unit will reduce the time of any debuff by 10%
- Curse – The Cursed Units can scale their DMG by +5% when attacking a boss
- Unattached – Unattached Units can increase their Critical Rate by 5%
- An explosion – All Blast Characters can ignore 10% of enemies’ DMG reduction
- Cosmic – Cosmic Unit can gain +10% DMG on placement
- passion – The Passion-type Units can increase the chance of evasion by 10%
How to know your unit’s Elements in Anime Vanguards
You can always check your unit’s Element by hovering over the character profile in the upgrade menu while playing. So, first place the unit and then hover over the unit profile to get to know its element.
Can you change the Element of your Unit?
No, you cannot change your Unit’s Element as a Trait in Anime Vanguards. These are prefixed classifications directly by the developers for each character.
How do Elements affect the Anime Vanguard Gameplay?
To make the gameplay more exciting and increase the importance of First Elements, the developers slightly tweaked the way enemies work. From now on, most enemies/bosses will have an Elemental weakness that can only be countered by a unit of that type.
For example, suppose an enemy is weak against the Spark Element. In that case, you must have a Spark type character like Genitsu in your team loadout, allowing you to experiment with map-based loadout rather than using a standard loadout in each stage.
