Call of Duty: Warzone has seen several changes, both positive and negative, in its four-year life cycle. The game was all the rage when it was released back in 2020 as it offered a varied and fresh take on the Battle Royale genre. However, some players now believe that the game has strayed from the original Battle Royale concept.
Traditionally in a Battle Royale game, a group of players are left in an environment to compete against each other, and the last person standing wins. Warzone did just that and attracted massive player numbers; in addition, it also became the first and only free-to-play Call of Duty title. One of the main highlights of the game was the redeployment feature, which meant that dead teammates could be brought back into the match just by spending some cash. However, players do not like the harsh extension of this mechanic in the current state of the game.
