Best Echoes in Wuthering Waves

One of the crucial elements that can shape the overall effectiveness of your character in Wuthering Waves is the Echoes. Each Echo brings a unique advantage to your character, and as you progress through the game, you’ll need to trade for more powerful options strategically. To inspire and motivate you, I’ve compiled a list of the ten best Echoes in Wuthering Waves, each ideal for specific situations. I strongly encourage you to engage in thoughtful character building.

Best Echoes for Beginners in Wuthering Waves

Below, I’ve listed the five best Wuthering Waves for beginners in the game that will boost your overall build.

Cyan Plumed Heron – 3 Cost

To start the list, we have the Blue-feathered Heron. This Echo allows the players to transform into a Heron that can launch a spinning charge to attack enemies, dealing almost 148% Air damage. While the attack numbers are great, the main highlight is that it can stop any special moves of the opponent, completely breaking the momentum of the battle. I highly recommend this Echo for Aalto, Jiyan and Yanayang buildings.

Carpuppet Scout – 3 Cost

If you’re a gamer who enjoys a more passive, strategic approach to battles, the Autopuppet Scout Echo is a versatile choice. This Echo allows you to transform into an Autopuppet Scout, capable of dealing Ice damage and setting up three Ice Walls to block enemies. This versatility makes it a great choice for almost every character build in the game, giving you the confidence to adapt to different situations.

Drummer – 3 Cost

The Drummer is a great Echo that provides a lot of raw damage gains to the player. Using the ability, the player will summon a Drummer who will play the Tunes of Annihilation. All nearby allies hit with the tune will deal an extra Havoc Attack for the next ten attacks. So, if you have a lot of characters using Havoc Damage, this should be included in your build.

Hoochief – 3 Cost

The Hoochief is another great Echo for beginner level players. It is easy to reach, as you can unlock it by visiting any area outside of Junzhou city. This Echo turns the player into a Hoochief and deals a powerful blow, dealing 149% Aero damage. It also has a very low cooldown, making it one of the most frequently used abilities in the game. Consider using it on characters like Jianxin and Yanyang, who have a lot of Air-based abilities.

Stonewall Bracer – 3 Cost

The Stonewall Bracer is a solid Echo in Wuthering Waves due to its three unique attack phases. First, you’ll transform into a Bracer that will run forward and deal physical damage. If connected correctly, your character will receive a bonus 10% Shield from your entire character’s H, allowing you to continue your fight.

Best Overall Echoes in Wuthering Waves

The following are the best Echoes in Wuthering Waves that are suitable for almost every situation in the game.

Hell Rider – 4 Cost

The Inferno Rider Echo is a game changer for intermediate to advanced players. This advanced Echo turns you into a hell rider, doing three Fusion smashes, each dealing serious damage. The best part? If you land each hit, you’ll receive a temporary increase to your base and Fusion Damage, potentially transforming your gameplay for the next 15 seconds. Incorporating characters like Chixia and Encore can amplify the impact of this Echo, adding an exciting dynamic to your character build.

Crownless – 4 Cost

The Crownless is another awesome Echo if your entire Character build is based on Havoc damage. When transformed into Crownless, you will deal four consecutive attacks, all of which will deal more than 50% Havoc damage per attack. Along with the transformation, your overall Havoc and Resonance damage will increase by 12% for the next 15 seconds. Use the Echo on characters like Danjin.

Impermanent Heron – 4 Cost

Like Uncrowned, the Impermanent Heron also deals a lot of Chaos Damage to enemies. Activate the ability to transform into a Heron and fly to smackdown enemies to deal 314% Havoc damage. There is also an alternative mode where the Imperanence Heron spits fire, dealing 25 Havoc damage on attack. There are also several other benefits such as damage boost and Resonance energy restoration when activating the ability.

Mech Abomination – 4 Cost

Mech Abomination is an echo ability that mostly deals electro damage to enemies. Upon activation, you will summon Mech Waste, which will deal 200 electricity damage to enemies and deal an additional 12% after it explodes. During the skill, your character’s overall attack stat will also be boosted by 12%. If you need an auto-attack-based Echo skill, please look at the Mech Abomination skill.

Thunder Mephis – 4 Cost

To finish off the list, we have the Thundering Mephis. This Echo emits six consecutive strikes. Of this, the first five only deal 50 electricity, but if you need to connect the last one, it will deal 250 Extra electricity, increasing the overall Electricity damage and Resonant Release damage by 12% for the next 12 seconds. I recommend including the Echo in character builds from Calcharo, Yinlin, and more.
