If you are looking to earn C$ fast, The Depths is it the place in Fisch. Full of precious fish and rare catches, this mysterious area is perfect for making a fortune. This guide will show you how to get there, why it’s the best farming location, and which fish to maximize are the best to hunt.
Best Place to Farm Money in Fisch
The Depths are home to some of the most valuable fish in the game, including Mythic and Exotic species that bring up to C$6,000. With the right setup, you can fill your pockets in no time. Going to The Deeps is the hardest part – after that, you can stay and fish as long as you want.
- Find a Strange Whirlpool. Look for whirlpools with a line extending from the surface to the sky. Swim into its center to reach Vertigo.
- Complete the Vertigo Bestiary. Catch every fish in Vertigo to reach 100% completion. You cannot access The Depths without doing this.
- Fish for The Depths Key. These Exotic keys are found in Strange Whirlpools or Vertigo. Use the Standing Wand with a luck-based Enchantment to make it easier to swing them. It shouldn’t take you more than half an hour to slip one in. If you struggle, remember that The Depth Key is attracted to Magnetic lure.
- Unlock the Door. Go to the cliff with the red crystals in Vertigo find the big door that leads to The Depths. Talk to the NPC next to it twice – Once to listen to their fairy tale about The Depths, and a second time to make them realize that you have a key.
Best Value Fish to Catch in the Deep
The fish below are the best to target when fishing in The Deep. You’ll want to make sure you travel down to The Depths with an excess of the bait listed in this table – especially the Truffle Worms for the Ancient Depths Serpent. Of course, you’ll have to wait for an Absolute Darkness event to catch an Ancient Profound Serpent, but the wait is worth it if you can catch a pair during the 10-minute event.

You can catch all these fish anywhere in The Depths – except for the Ancient Profound Serpent, which can only be captured in one specific area during each Absolute Darkness Event.
Best Rods for The Deep
If you want the best chance of catching the fish above, you’ll need a fishing rod that has a decent Luck stat. In Fisch, Luck increases your chances of catching rarer fish. Combined with the right bait, you shouldn’t struggle too much to catch any fish unless they are particularly resistant. The Ancient Depth Serpent, for example, does -60% to your progress speed when you catch it.
