In Fortnite, Chapter 5 Season 2, several new Greek-themed mythical weapons have been added to the loot pool. While these weapons and items may be easy to obtain, not all of them are equally effective. Here are the best mythic weapons to use this season in Fortnite.
Best mythic items to use in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2
With the introduction of the Greek gods, various mythical weapons were introduced in Fortnite Myths & Mortals. These weapons and items can be obtained by looting chests around the world, and defeating specific Olympian bosses found across the map.
After using all these weapons, we divided them into four tiers, from S to C, with S-Tier being the best. These mythical items are separated based on their effectiveness in battle.

S level
- Chains of Hades – The Chain of Hades is the best mythic weapon in the game right now, and it can be used in a variety of ways to gain an advantage over opponents. You can get this item from ground loot, chests, and by defeating the Olympic boss Hades at The Underworld POI. The Chains of Hades can attack enemies nearby. It can also pull opponents and items close to you to finish off with a deadly combo.
- Ares’ Warforged Assault Rifle – Ares’ Warforged Assault Rifle is the best AR in the game. This weapon packs a punch with every bullet and is quite similar to the MK-7 Assault Rifle from previous chapters. The mythic variant of this weapon has a 7.2 rate of fire and deals 223.2 damage per second. The magazine holds 35 bullets, which is more than enough to engage several opponents at once. You can get the Warforged Assault Rifle from Ares by defeating an Olympian boss Ares at Brawler’s Battlefield POI.
A-Tier
- Hades’ Harbinger SMG – Harbinger SMG of Hades is the best Submachine Gun in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The mythical variant of this gun is obtained by defeating the Olympian boss Hades at The Underworld POI. This weapon has first shot accuracy enabled, and deals 218.5 damage per second. It is the best gun to use in close combat because it can knock down opponents within a few seconds.
- Gatekeeper Shotgun of Cerberus – Cerberus’ Gatekeeper Shotgun is the best Shotgun to use in Fortnite Myths & Mortals. This gun can be obtained by defeating the Olympian boss Cerebus at the Grim Gate POI. This weapon has only three shells per magazine, and each of them is reloaded simultaneously. Unlike other Shotguns, you have to be much more accurate as there is very little room for error when firing this weapon. The triangular reticle of this weapon fires multiple pellets at once, making it nearly impossible for the enemy to maneuver out of its line of sight.

B-Tier
- The huntress of Zeus DMR – Zeus’s Huntress DMR may not be the best weapon in the game, but it is exceptionally effective at range. The mythical variant of this one-shot weapon can be obtained by defeating the Olympian boss Zeus at Mount Olympus POI. This Marksman Rifle deals 109.5 damage per second, and has a 1.75x critical strike damage multiplier. Make sure to attach a thermal scope, as it allows you to easily track down enemies.
C-Tier
- Thunder of Zeus – The Thunder of Zeus is perhaps the weakest mythic item introduced in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The loading mechanics and animation of this weapon take quite a while, leaving you exposed in the air and vulnerable to the opponent’s shooting. The best way to use this weapon is to gain a height advantage on your opponent and target them to hit the Thunder wedges. You can get the Thunder Wedge of Zeus as ground loot, from chests, and by defeating the Olympian boss. Zeus at Mount Olympus POI.
Wings of Icarus
The honorable mention belongs to the Wings of Icarus. Although this is not a mythic item, this is the best rotation tool in the game in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 2. The Wings of Icarus allow you to fly for long distances and dive-bomb opponents. You can find this easily around the map as ground loot and inside chests. The Wings of Icarus have a 300 charge that depletes as you fly around the map.
