Best Sethos build in Genshin Impact
Sethos is an upcoming four-star Electro bow user that is expected to be released in the Genshin Impact Version 4.7 update. Among the sea of Electro sub-DPS characters, leakers state that Sethos will be a main DPS unit. Here’s everything you need to prepare to build him.
Best weapons for Sethos in Genshin Impact
There are so many DPS-focused firearms in Genshin Impact, and all of them can be used on Sethos. However, the most relevant options would be the ones that increase his Elemental Mastery and Charged Attack Damage.
- The Hunter’s Way (best-in-slot five-star) – This weapon offers a CRIT Rate substat, increases Elemental DMG Bonus, and increases Charged Attack DMG based on Elemental Mastery. It synergizes well with Sethos’ kit, which requires a good amount of EM to unleash Reaction-based damage.
- cloud weaver (best four-star) – Offers an EM substat and further increases EM as Energy decreases.
Alternative Weapons:
Best Artifacts and substats for Sethos in Genshin Impact
According to leaks on Sethos’ kit, both his Normal Attacks and Elemental Blast are considered Charged Attack DMG, so opt for Artifact sets that can increase this stat.
- Troupe of a Wanderer (Most-in-slot) – This Artifact set is extremely niche, and it will eventually be put to good use. It increases Elemental Mastery and Charged Attack DMG (only for bow and catalyst users), making it the perfect set for Sethos.
- This Artifact set can only be obtained from random boss drops and Domain Reliquary boxes from the Spiral Abyss.
- Elemental React-based set – Great alternatives if you can’t make decent Wanderer’s Troupe substats. Their four-piece bonuses depend on your team comp, so choose carefully!
- Thundering Fury – Overcharged, Electro-Charged, Superconduct, and Hyperbloom
- Blossom of Paradise Lost – Bloom, Hyperbloom, and Burgeon
- Gilded Dreams – Receive buffs based on a team’s Elements (ATK for Electro characters, EM for all other Elements)
- Two piece combos – These two-piece combos give you the flexibility to mix and match versatile sets you already have to ease the burden of farming.
- Gladiator’s Finale (+18% ATK)
- Echoes of Offering (+18% ATK)
- Shimenawa’s Remembrance (+18% ATK)
- Thunder Fury (+15% Electricity DMG Bonus)
- Flower of Paradise Lost (+80 Elemental Master)
- Gilded Dreams (+80 Elemental Mastery)
Sethos’ best artifact substats
- Sands: EM
- Cup: Electricity DMG Bonus or EM
- Circle: CRIT Rate or CRIT DMG, depending on what you need
- Substatics: EM, ER, ATK, CRIT
Aim for around 120 to 160% ER depending on if you have Electric batteries in the team.
Genshin Impact Sethos Talent upgrade priority
Sethos’ kit won’t be finalized until his release in Version 4.7, so his Talent upgrade priority isn’t set in stone yet. With the current information we have, his Talent upgrade priority will likely be as follows:
- Normal Attack: Royal Reed Archery
- Elemental Blast: Twilight Shadowpiercer
- Elemental Ability: The Thundering Sands
According to leaks, most of Sethos’ damage output will come from his Charged Attacks, so you’ll benefit from prioritizing his Normal Attack first. His Elemental Burst comes second, while his Elemental Ability can be completely ignored. I don’t recommend wasting a Crown on it.
Best team for Sethos in Genshin Impact
Since Electro is used in many Reactions, Sethos can be inserted into many team compositions. But to maximize his potential, make sure they’re versatile enough to handle Elemental Reactions—he’s not a great choice on experimental single-Element teams!
- Worse team – Sethos + Nahida + Electro sub-DPS (Fischl, Beidou, Yae Miko, Raiden Shogun, Kuki Shinobu, Kujou Sara) + any character you need (ie shield for survivability or your favorite waifu or husband)
- An overloaded team – Sethos + Chevreuse + Pyro applicator (Xiangling for DPS, Thoma for shield) + Electric Battery (any sub-DPS)
- Hyperbloom team – Sethos + Nahida + Electro-sub-DPS + Hydro-applicator (Xingqiu, Yelan, Furina)
