Destiny 2 servers are offline as The Final Form is pushed to the public. While we are waiting to stand against the Witness, some players are receiving mysterious and cryptic messages while trying to log in to the game’s servers.
As the wait for The Final Form begins to close in on the last hour, we are frothing at the mouth to jump in and take the fight to the Witness. However, while logged in I received a cryptic message from the Witness: We seek an end to suffering. Why do you resist? The scary words and the breaking of the fourth wall sent my excitement to an astronomical level.
Unfortunately, it seems that there are no other messages from the Witness to scare us. A single line of text is normal for such a powerful being; it lets us all know that our struggle is pointless. As I read the quote I ponder the fate of all the Guardians, something about The Final Form screams finality (except The Final Form)—whatever Bungie cooks up in the story, I’m sure it’s going to be a rage.
