Devas of Creation is a complex RPG experience that requires the players to understand several mechanics/themes such as racing, skills and builds in the game in order to progress quickly. So, if you’re new to the game and want some great tips to start your journey, I highly recommend reading this guide.
5 Tips and Tricks for Creative Devas
Below, I’ve mentioned five tips and tricks to quickly help you grasp the essence of the gameplay loop in Devas of Creation. Just follow these, and you’ll easily progress through the campaign.
Race
The most critical aspect that determines how you will play the entire game is the choice of your race. The main reason behind this is that it affects every other aspect of your gameplay, such as weapon building, accessories, and the type of pets you want to use. So, instead of choosing something randomly at the start, choose the race according to your fighting style and ease of use. For example, if you’re someone who loves speed-based builds, Umbrella bed should be your #1 priority, while if you want some tankiness, Cryuleas will be the perfect fit. To make your life easier, I’ve included a little cheat sheet below that will help you choose the right path.

Skills
Similar to the race, the abilities you choose also strongly affect your fighting style and strategy. So, whenever you get a weapon through the main questline or trade, be sure to pick the right and appropriate abilities for that weapon that match your playstyle/build. For example, if you look at the image above, instead of unlocking any random ability for my Ice Staff, I made a very smart decision to get the Ice Tower. Why? I felt this ability would fit my playstyle as I tend to reposition a lot during my battle and can utilize the turret’s auto attack feature to the maximum advantage. I even went on to increase the range and shot count of the skill in subsequent updates to make it more lethal.
Thus, hover the mouse above all skill for the chosen ones weapons and choose the one that resonates with your playing instead of choosing a popular one.
Resource Management
A common mistake I’ve found among many players, myself included, during the early to middle stages of the game is to completely neglect to collect resources. Please don’t do that and focus on gathering resources when possible. Why? Because you need resources to create the best gear and tools to progress quickly in the game. For example, if you have to defeat challenging bosses, you must have quality tools and accessories; for this, you need to get high quality resources that can only be farmed if you have a high level of mining/hacking/gathering. So, instead of just hitting a rock or chopping a tree for two or three in-game days, develop the habit of farming resources regularly as you progress through the game to avoid completing such tasks together.
Pets and Mountains
A common feature often overlooked by many newbies is the pets. There are two types of pets in Devas of Creation: sand pets and rideable mounts. Indicative of its name, the sand pets provide certain advantages to the player, while the rideable mount allows you to fast travel across the map. Definitely get these pets to boost your build while saving a ton of time when reaching any goal. To get your first pet, reach out level 15 and visit the Zorin NPC near the Elderwood forest. Complete the mission he provides to get a chest that can reward you with a pet as a drop reward.
Battle Strategy
When facing a new boss or enemy type in the game, don’t rush and swing your weapons in their face. Instead, be patient and calm. First, learn their attack pattern, the amount of damage they deal, and the way they move. Now, using this information, come up with a deadly battle plan that involves using your current skills/builds and executing it. You will definitely fail many times before arriving at a reliable solution that will beat that boss easily. Keep making strategies like this and keep it in mind if you happen to face the same enemy later in the campaign. General Tips and Tricks
- Use the City Guards to protect yourself if some random wild animal chases you.
- Always try to sell your items in the market to another real life player instead of selling them to the NPC merchants for a dead cheap rate.
- Middle-click on any creature or boss to learn all of that creature’s current drops before attacking them.
