The Lunar New Year event in Dig It features a new island located between the Nookville and the Badlands. There’s a lot to discover during this New Year’s event, which runs until January 31, 2025. In this guide, we’ll provide you with all the items you can get!
Lunar New Year Event Items and Rewards in Dig It
When you reach the Lunar New Year island, you can dig up new treasures, including 3 Legendary items and 2 Mythical items. It is recommended to use only the above shovels to quickly dig up these items, such as the Meteor Shovel or Ion Shovel. In general, it is possible to dig up 24 items at the following rarities:
- 4 ordinary items
- 5 rare items
- 7 epic items
- 5 legendary items
- 3 mythical items
But the most important aspects of the Lunar New Year event are the three mysterious gifts. No one knows what they contain, but they can also be dug up from the Lunar New Year island. However, you will only be able to open them on certain dates, including:
- The Gift of Abundance: January 13, 2025
- The Gift of Fortune: January 15, 2025
- The Gift of Dragons: January 18, 2025
Note that the gifts will open automatically on these dates, so you don’t need to do anything extra but just wait. Also, don’t worry if you can’t find them while digging on the Lunar New Year island, because there is an opportunity to buy these three mysterious gifts at the shop for 199, 399, and 699 Robux, respectively. It is certain that these gifts will contain some wonderful items!
During this period, you will also be able to receive several exclusive daily gifts from Benson just log into the game, including the following items:
- Day 1: 2x EXP for 30 minutes
- Day 2: 2x Legendary Magnets
- Day 3: 5x Rare Magnets
- Day 4: Bad Shovel
- Day 5: 2x EXP for 2 hours
- Day 6: 3x Mythical Magnets
- Day 7: Seal Mountain
Note that these are new magnetic rarities that were previously unavailable in the game. In fact, it is also possible to get Rare Magnets before the daily exclusive reward arrives from Benson simply by buying and opening many Magnet Boxes from the magnet merchants. You will need to open about 15-20 Magnet Chests to get at least one Rare Magnet.
The Legendary and Mythic Magnets have an even smaller drop chance of around 1%-5%. But these magnets are actually very valuable because they guarantee that the treasure you dig up is at least of the same rarity, not less. This means that the Mythic Magnet will guarantee that you dig up a Mythic item and so on.
As for the Bad Shovel, which is the only exclusive shovel for the Lunar New Year event. It has a 50% chance to apply the new Evil modifier, which sells your treasures for 2x their regular price. Note that the only other shovel that can apply the same modifier is the Ionizer Shovel, so if you don’t have one yet, be sure to get it from the Ionizer.
Also, the new Seal Mount is the best mount in the game that can be used to travel the sea and not just the land. But more than that, this mount will move even faster on water than the Speed Boat itself. Unfortunately, there’s no way to get this mount sooner, so you’ll have to wait until Day 7 of Benson’s rewards arrive in your inbox.
Finally, there is 7 new enchantments introduced in the Lunar New Year event, all of which will be available at Mother Mole, which is located on a small Mole Island between the Nookville and the Piratesburg.
The two of these spells are of the rare level, and they are called Super Spell and Blessed Spell. There are also three enchantments that specifically increase two of your shovel’s stats at once. Finally, there is one legendary spell called Perfect Enchantment that significantly increases most of your shovel’s stats. To get all these spells, you must bring the moles you dig up to Mother Mole for these effects to apply.
