How to play Horizon Forbidden West on Steam Deck
The Steam Deck is a hit for most Steam games, as you can now play them comfortably from almost anywhere. Given the portability of the Steam Deck, it obviously has hardware limitations to a certain extent due to its size.
During Horizon Forbidden West works on the Steam Deck, The main area where I witnessed it struggle is with the AMD Zen 2 CPU because it has a difficult rendering. This, however, can be worked around if you play the game well lower settings.
Best settings for Horizon Forbidden West on Steam Deck
Most of the settings are important here. However, if you don’t mind losing a few FPS, you’re welcome to change these settings. The main thing you want to remember is to up the game using AMD FSR 2.2.

As you can tell, you’ll need to play the game with most settings turned off or off. Whether this is a good compromise for the comfort is up to you to decide. These settings will enable you to achieve at least 30–35 FPSwhich I believe is sufficient for smooth gameplay on the Steam Deck.
