How to check if Soulmask has controller support
When it comes to Soulmask, customizing your desired controls is just as important as choosing your starting mask. If you want to check if Soulmask is playable with a controller on Steam, there is a very simple method to do so.
Once the game is fully downloaded and available to play in your Steam Library, get your controller of choice ready. Whether it’s a PlayStation or an Xbox controller, you can connect it to your PC setup with a supported USB cable, and after a few moments a prompt will appear on the top right of the game’s page. It will indicate the current state of controller support for that specific game.
In the case of Soulmask, unfortunately, the game has no controller support right now. If you plug one in, it will tell right away ‘Controllers Not Supported’ (as seen above). However, according to the game’s Steam FAQ page, there is apparently a controller scheme being developed, but it has yet to meet expectations during testing.
In addition, players can still try to use a controller with the currently unfinished scheme, but there is no guarantee of its functionality. If our tests are anything to go by, the painstaking process of trying to rewrite each control with varying success really isn’t worth the struggle.
Will Soulmask get a controller in the future?
More information about controller support in Soulmask’s Steam FAQ indicates that the team is absolutely committed to optimizing that support for future updates. So it’s safe to say that Soulmask will one day be playable on a controllerbut we just don’t know exactly when yet.
