Elden Ring DLC will allow you to do martial arts and get permanent likes
Several new weapons and weapon types will be available in Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree it is revealed, including a martial arts style where you’ll use your bare hands (and feet) to deliver flashy and devastating blows to your enemies and finish them off quickly. It sounds like a unique and cool way to play the game; we can expect that many players will try to complete the DLC as well as the game in pure martial arts. This also looks like a neat thing to try in the base game just as you get revenge on some of those pesky enemies who one-shot you (looking at you, you big crayfish!).
To ease the suffering of those starting the DLC, a new rare consumable will be available for players to use. Called the Scadutree Shards, these will negate any incoming damage and also boost the damage you deal. These can be stacked and leveled at Sites of Grace to make your journey much more bearable, although they only work in the DLC. These are of course optional, but if you’re new to FromSoft DLCs (which are comparatively harder than the base games), then these are something you’ll want.
The Land of Shadow is full of powerful enemies and bosses
The Land of Shadow is the new region you will explore – a damaged area full of foliage either drying or dying. The atmosphere almost sounds similar to Bloodborne; as usual with FromSoft’s formula, you’ll have tons of shortcuts and little ways to use to get to that much-needed Place of Grace.
Shadow of the Erdtree also expands Elden Ring’s vast array of enemies, casting a more powerful version of the ghosts, birds, and knights encountered in the main game. There will be over 10 main bosses in store, as well as other side bosses, all ready for the Tainted to bring you. One of them, Devine Beast Dancing Lion, is said to use magical abilities while also being quite adept at cross-arena jumping attacks. Being agile also seems to be a more common theme with the DLC enemies, in addition to being deadlier. So, in general it seems that the enemies will be more similar to those in Crumbling Farum Azula and Miquella’s Haligtree in the main game.
