Fallout 4 has seen a lot of love from Bethesda and fans since the release of Fallout TV. Bethesda even decided to update some of the Fallout games with related content, including Fallout 4. One thing that was added was the “Echoes of the Past” quest. Here's how you can start and complete the quest.
How to start and complete “Echoes of the Past” in Fallout 4
To start the search, you need to make sure that you have downloaded the update for modern consoles. Once this is done, you can simply enter the game, and the quest will automatically be added to your quests. You will be tasked with finding a caravan that was attacked by the Enclave near the Saugus Iron Works. You will find that the quest marker leads you to a bridge that is covered in blood.
From there, you'll just need to follow the blood until you find the caravan that was unfortunately killed by the Enclave. There will be a group of Enclave Soldiers that will attack you hereso be ready for battle.
Once they are taken care of, go to the terminal right next to you and look for the option to download theirs Homing Beacon Frequency. This will allow you to track them and find out where their base is.

How to find the base of the Enclave
Travel to the Edge of the Burning Sea and turn your radio to the broadcast that is labeled “Enclave Homing Beacon.” This will take you to the Atlantic Offices, which is in the west of the Edge of the Burning Sea. Upon entering the building, you will quickly realize that this is the base of the Enclave. They will start a lock, and every soldier in the area will come to attack you.
You want to clear the floor you're on and then enter the door at the bottom of the stairs. From there, you can fall down into the hole and kill the Colonel of the Enclave.
The colonel will drop an item called “Enclave Terminal Password.” You'll want to use this to access the terminal in the room next to him. There, you'll learn that there are more Enclave camps that you can add research to your quests.
Select the option to end the lock, allowing you to leave the base. However, once you do that, you'll hear a Vertibird heading your way, which you'll need to take care of. Go up the elevator to the roof to start this part of the quest.
How to destroy the Veltibird
Destroying the Veltibird will complete the quest, but it's not as easy as it sounds. There will be several Enclave Soldiers attacking you from around the base while some are inside the Veltibird. Your best bet is bring out the soldiers around you and then focus on the Veltibird. You will not be able to take it out if you are killed by the enemies around you.
Once they are taken care of, pull out your strongest gun and shoot away at the Verltibird until it crashes. This will end the quest and allow you to stop the past.
