If you’re looking to cast a spell on one of your fishing rods in Fisch, you’ve come to the right place. This level list will help you decide whether to keep the enchantment you receive at the Altar of Guardians, or whether it’s best to try and enchant your staff a second (or third) time.
All Spells in Fisch, Ranked
There are 21 possible enchantments that can be randomly applied to your chosen fishing rod. Unfortunately, you cannot choose the enchantment that is added to your wand, but you can enchant a wand as many times as you want.

S level
abysmal – The Abyssal Spell is one of the best in Fisch. It gives you a 10% chance to catch Abyssal Fish and 80% chance to x1.3 the weight of the fish. It’s essentially a money-making spell, giving you the chance to land bigger and more valuable fish that you’d struggle to get otherwise.
divine – With +45% Luck of the Divine Enchantment, you can enjoy trying to catch some of the rarer fish in Fisch. An extra 45% is a great amount of extra luck that you could push even further with some good bait and a Trident Rod or Kings Rod.
Hasty – Sick of waiting around for fish to hook onto your bobber? Keep the Hasty Enchant on your fishing rod to take advantage +55% Lug speedwhich means fish will be attracted to your rod faster.
Quality – Quality is one of my favorite Fisch spells because it can repair even the most terrible fishing rods and make them usable again. enjoy +15% Lug Speed, +15% Luck, and +5% Durability on any staff with the Quality Charm.
Durable – Some fish – especially Mythical! – it’s very annoying to catch because of how much the control bar moves when you’ve hooked one. The Resilience Charm gives you +35% Durabilityhelping you increase your chances of catching a resistant fish by reducing how much the bar moves.
A-Tier
Checked – +0.05 Control may not sound like much, but each added amount of control increases the size of the control bar at the bottom of your screen when you’re trying to hook a fish. The Controlled Spell gives you the same amount of control as the Mythical Staff!
Noir – Albino and Darkened fish are certainly some of the rarer Mutations in Fisch. Getting this spell increases your chances of getting those fish by 10%!
constant – Frustrated by the loss of progress that some fish cause when hooked to your line? The Permanent Spell gives you -25% Progress Losswhich is great for catching more Mythical fish.
B-Tier
a breeze – There is nothing better than fishing on a windy day if you want to catch fish like the rare Napoleon fish or even the legendary Obsidian Swordfish. The Wind Spell gives you +65% Luck during windy weathermaking it a great time to go fishing.
Scrapper – This is the best Charm to have on a rod when you plan to try to catch Mythical fish. Some Mythical fish like the taste of Truffle Worms, which are annoyingly hard to find in the game and expensive to collect. The Scrapper Charm gives you a 60% chance of not consuming the bait you use catch a fish
Sea King – Add the Sea King Magic to the Kings Rod and you have a powerful combination for catching big fish. During the King’s Road can handle the weight of any fish, the Sea King Witch adds 10% to the size of the fish you catch.
a storm – Like the Breezed Enchant, the Storming Enchant is the perfect foul weather companion. Storm gives you +95% Luck during rainy weatherwhich is a powerful boost if you want to chase Voltfish or Glacierfish!
C-Tier
blessed – Benita only gives you a +2% chance to get the Bright/Glow Mutation on the fish you catch, but it’s 2% more than you had!
Terrible – Nasty gives you a 20% chance to catch fish with the Translucent mutationbut it’s kind of redundant to have this spell if you have a Haunted Wand of the 2024 Fischfright event. Of course, if you missed the event or want to apply the spell to another staff with better stats, it still has its uses.
lucky – 20% extra luck it’s not much in the long run. There is a lot of bait in the game that can do that and more.
Mutated – Extra 7% chance to catch a Mutated fish is quite poor. There are enough Mutation increases in Fisch that this spell feels lackluster.
Quick – Must go fast? to add +30% Lug speed to your rod with the Speed Spell to make your fishing trip more fruitful.
Wormhole – This is a bit of a strange Enchantment, but it has its uses. The Wormhole basically makes it so you have 45% chance to catch a fish from any location on the map. If you are staying in one place for a while and want some variety, this could be an interesting Enchantment to have.
D level
Insight – This spell exactly gives you x1.5 EXP from all catches. It’s not completely useless, but it’s also not the most useful spell to put on one of your wands.
For a long time – If you ever wanted to extend your fishing line by 50 studsthis is how you do it. I never wanted that, personally.
unbreakable – Only buy the Kings Rod and have a dedicated rod for the fish you think will break free from your other rods without breaking a sweat.
How to Enchant a Fishing Rod in Fisch
To enchant a fishing rod, you will need Enchant Relic. If you have reached Level 30you can buy them from Merlin at the top of Sunstone Island for 11,000 C$ – coordinates (-945, 220, -990).
Or, you can try your luck fishing. Pay attention to the cyan exclamation markwhich indicates you’ve hooked a Relic, though be prepared for a slower swing due to 20% progress speed reduction. For those hunting Relics, The Depths is the easiest place to find them.
Once you have an Enchanted Relic, the next step is to visit the Guardian Altarthe only place where fishing rods can be enchanted. The Altar is located within the Statue of Sovereigntyaccessed by a wooden lift inside the cave.
pay Cole C$400 use the elevator and go down to the Altar. When you’re ready to cast a spell, equip the wand you want to upgrade and interact with the Altar at night. This will consume your Spell Relic and apply a random spell to your rod Since the spell is random, you may not get your desired effect on the first try, so be prepared to repeat the process if necessary.
