Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map: what it looks like and all the new named locations and POIs
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 is here, bringing Wasteland Warriors to the game. As always, the Fortnite island has been completely revamped with the influx of new POIs, so here’s a detailed breakdown of all the new POIs you can discover.
Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map overview
The Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 brought three new locations to the map, after the wild sandstorm we witnessed during the previous season’s live event. The sandstorm spawned a new biome in the south known as the wasteland, where you’ll find most of the following new POIs. Epic Games also infused the popular Snooty Steppes with a new location and renamed it to the Sand Steppes in the last season.
At the same time, you can still visit the grasslands, winter and desert biomes full of iconic places like Class Courts, Fencing Fields and Mount Olympus.
New POIs
Here’s a list of all the new POIs you can explore on the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map:
- Redline Rig
- Nitrodome
- Brutal Beachhead
Redline Rig
The Redline Rig is home to the new boss, The Machinist, also known as the master mechanic of the Wasteland Warriors. The POI is located in the south of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 island just below the Fencing Fields.
Fortunately, the medallions still exist in the new Fortnite season, which means that the Machinist will drop her Medallion after being eliminated. Epic Games has confirmed that her locket will regenerate your Shield over time. But that’s not all. If you defeat her inside a Redline Rig, use this Medallion to open the garage holding her special modified car with the legendary The Machinist Battle Rifle.
Nitrodome
Nitrodome is located approx in the center of the Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3 map just below the Fencing Fields. In this place, you will find another new boss known as the Ringmaster Scarr, whose Medallion will give you infinite ammo and low damage.
Similar to The Machinist, you can access the Ringmaster’s garage to get her special car and the Ringmaster’s mythical Boom Bolt weapon.
Brutal Beachhead
Brutal Beachhead is the base of operations for the Wasteland Warriors and home to the master muscle of the Wasteland Warriors, Megalo Don. The Brutal Beachhead is also accompanied by a small landmark known as Sandy Steppes which was called Snooty Steppes in the previous season.
Like other new POIs, Brutal Beachhead lies on the southern part of the map near the desert biome. Since this place is right next to the ocean, you can also grab your fishing rods and haul your gear in style.
When it comes to the Megalo Don’s Medallion, it will fill you with infinite Nitro, which will provide you with the following benefits:
- Movement speed increase
- Explosive punching power that deals damage and knockback
- Decrease in consumption of stamina
- Reload speed increase
- Immunity from fall damage
You can also steal his ride, but the best part is that he also drops his Mythic Megalo Don’s Nitro Fists upon elimination. But be warned, his wrath will not take long to surface.
