Fusing spells together in the playtest for roguelite An Amazing Wizard, early registrations start now

Amazing Wizard is a fast-paced action flick that didn’t quite make it on Kickstarter. Despite this, the team at Tiny Goblins kept on providing updates to the supporters who were interested, and released a demo of the game shortly after their Kickstarter failed.

The prologue (also known as a playtest) to An Amazing Wizard will drop on Steam August 22, 2024. This is an incredible feat, considering that there are only two people working to develop the game – the founder, Jakub Dąbrowski, and Ivan David Fernández Morantes; pixel artist

The prologue to Amazing Wizard will be completely free for fans to play, and there are new features that were not accessible in the game’s demo.

Those who play the prologue will be able to explore the new Ancient Desert world, which is a brand new map with never-before-seen enemies like thunder spirits and mummies. You’ll need to strategize how to defeat these new monsters as the Wizard, especially since they both use quick attacks that can take you out easily. As a fair warning to anyone reading, thunder spirits can duplicate themselves near you, and mummies can use a ranged attack with their bandages.

There are also new bosses and elites for you to face in the Amazing Wizard prologue.

One of the main elements added to the game for the prologue is the “Spell Merge” ability. Players will be able to take spells to the Spellweaver and fuse them up to five times, allowing you to create your own unique spells in the game for your wizard to use.

For example, if you take the spell Lesser Fireball – which creates a magic ball that sets your enemy on fire – and add Gravity Zone – which holds an enemy in place – you can create a spell that holds an enemy while you set them on fire. .

Alienware will host a free preview playtest on August 2, 2024. You’ll need to visit their website to get early access, but nothing is available right now. I will update this post as soon as the link is live.

Just before the release of Amazing Wizard, Tiny Goblins will also open a playtest for fans to try out the game. You already can request access to the playtest on Steam. Be sure to join the devs discord to stay updated as well.
