GTA 6 Fall 2025 Release Date Remains Target Following Rumors Says Take-Two Interactive
GTA 6 is still targeting Fall 2025 according to Rockstar Games’ parent company. Take-Two Interactive held theirs Annual Meeting of Shareholders on wednesday It included an online meeting with the board plus a detailed report who shared a lengthy overview of what the company does.
Inside that report, we can see the same statement they gave to investors in May 2024: “Rockstar Games continues to invest in the franchise and plans to release Grand Theft Auto VI in the fall of calendar 2025.” Take Two also noted that “We depend on the future success of our Grand Theft Auto”.
Although this is not a new statement, they put it in their annual report to investors, which means it is the most up-to-date information to date. The reason this is important is because there was a rumor of a delay that spread like wildfire this month.
Ex-Rockstar Director Talks Delays
Former Rockstar Games Technical Director Obbe Vermeij took to Twitter to discuss any possible delay. He said that the decision to delay GTA IV was made only 4 months before the intended release date. Based on this, he believes that Rockstar is not in a position to know if Fall 2025 will be fulfilled until around May 2025.
In addition, Vermeij states that Rockstar is not worried because there is no competition; they can take as long as they like until they are completely happy with the product. They do strive for perfection.
