GTA 6 is still aiming for edition in fall 2025, but Rockstar remained silent more than a year ago. There are some key dates we know to watch when it comes to GTA VI and Rockstar games in general.
When will we get GTA 6 news?
Rockstar games will typically feature great news about their upcoming games in the form of a trailer, for example before Take-Two Interactive Quarterly Earnings. They are Rockstar Games’ parent company and the news comes to help raise the share price.
It does not happen every quarter, as we have passed several quarterly reports on gains and no news about GTA VI from Rockstar. All we had is dragged-two to say a year ago that it will come in fall 2025.
We are in the intended release year of the game and closing in autumn. There have been zero updates on the game since its disclosure in December 2023, more than 16 months ago. There is a growing feeling that the second quarterly earnings report of 2025 for Take-Two will come along with an update on GTA 6, whether it is a trailer, screenshot or delay until 2026.
As for when the following report of Take-Two will be, the company confirmed a date in a press release April 17. The Q4 2025 report and a fiscal year and a call will be held on Thursday, May 15th. The live conference call will be held at 4:30 pm. This fiscal annual report is before the next fiscal year and GTA 6 is looking to release it.
The next quarter report must be around August 14th. As always, we will extensively cover everything that comes out of the calls and reports in an article here at Rockstarintel.
Despite more optimism in the community around 2025 edition for the game, one of the former leaders at Rockstar intermingled to share his thoughts. Obbe Vermeij took to Twitter On the 17th anniversary of the release of GTA IV. He explained before the decision to delay GTA IV from 2007 to 2008 came quite late, just 4 months before the release. He said he thinks there is only a 50/50 possibility that it is doing it this year. OBBE also thinks it will be the report on August gains, when if there is a delay, it comes then.
“I guess decision-day for you will be similar. Fingers crossed for the TAKE2 August gain report.”
