GTA 6 Release Date Remains Fall 2025, GTA V Sells 205 Million Copies

GTA 6 is still set for release in fall 2025, say Rockstar Games’ parent company Take-Two Interactive. During Take-Two Interactive’s Q2 2025 quarterly earnings presentationCEO Strauss Zelnick discussed the success of Rockstar Games’ titles over the past three months.

In the previous quarterly report, GTA 6’s launch window was also still on target for a Fall 2025.

This is a developing story and will be updated as more information is released by Take-Two Interactive.

Grand Theft Auto V is selling well but decline continues

Take-Two Interactive has revealed that Grand Theft Auto V has sold over 205 million copies. This is more than hitting 200m in August. Grand Theft Auto V usually sells an average of 5 million every month. The total sales of the Grand Theft Auto series are now more than 435 million copies worldwide, more than 5 million in the past 3 months.

Last month, GTA V saw a drop in downloads on the PlayStation charts. Earlier this summer it was the most downloaded game. Similar declines could also be seen in actual sales.

Sales of the Red Dead Redemption PC edition will be reflected in next quarter’s report.
