GTA 7 will be cheaper to do than GTA 6 Pro AI ex-rockstar dev says

The former technical director of Rockstar Games, who worked the beloved GTA trilogy and GTA IV shared his thoughts on GTA 7. During a new interview, the ex-Rockstar developer gave an understanding of where the industry goes and how Rockstar will create his next big steal automatic title after GTA 6.
Obbe Vermeij worked as a technical director at Rockstar Games from 1995 to 2009. His work helped build several games and was part of the success they had. Over the past few years, he has become best known in the GTA community for sharing interesting behind the scenes details about how Rockstar made his classic GTA games and other titles as the canceled agent game. This led to someone high at Rockstar not so satisfied and the removal of the blog posts.
Gta 7 prediction
This week the developer spoke with Kiwi TalkzYouTube channel, which mainly interviews game developers about its experience in the industry. The Interview covered a wide range of Rockstar Games and the Development of GTA Games. When talking about the cost of GTA titles and other games like them, OBBE shares their forecast for the future.
“My prediction is that GTA 7 will be cheaper to do than GTA.
His reasoning for this prediction is due to advances in AI speeding up pre -production and set up development phases. The former technical director explains:
“I would imagine that we say you are making a cutting scene, all the characters in the courtier could simply be presented by AI including the conversation if you only describe the scene, this could be your first pass of a cutting scene and you will still have tons of artists to make the highest level of creation and be more than the repair.”
So you have it, AI will not replace the creators doing the most important work, but the more time consumes parts that lack creativity. Moreover, AI is already used in the development of games.
Take-Two CEO Strauss Zelnick said similar things earlier this year. He has revealed “We use digital tools since the beginning. I would say the interactive fun company in an innovator in what people call AI now. I think it is worth noting although the genius is human. The tools could be digital, but the creative genius is human.” While Rockstar’s future games will not be made by AI, it will help in some areas but will not replace creativity.
