GTAV mod Menu, YimMenu taken from Take-Two interactive

YimMenuMod menu for Grand Theft Auto V and Grand Theft Auto: Online has been removed by Take-Two Interactive.

YimMenu was one of the most popular Mod Menus for GTA Online on PC, it was free and open source and allowed players who used it to basically do whatever they wanted, including ruining the experience of other players in GTA Online.

Players reported that if you used YimMenu, it would bypass the latest security update from Rockstar Games in which they added Battle Eye to GTA Online, making it difficult for most people to modify. Now Take-Two Interactive has issued a DMCA notice to the company behind it Yimmura and also issued a Takedown notice to Github remove the mod menu from their website.

As reported by MorsMutual (the content creator), Take-Two’s DMCA notice to YimMenu, was for reverse engineering illegally obtained code from the Grand Theft Auto V source code leak back in 2022 and for having some other illegally obtained code that is owned by Take-Two. Interact live and Rockstar Games.

The YimMenu website was also taken down. When you try to activate it, our Antivirus starts and says “threat secured”. So we won’t link it for obvious reasons.

Member of Yimmura comments

On GitHub, a community member posted saying that he and his friend were notified that they have 1 day to remove the YimMenu fork, and asking for more information on the situation. With a member of the YimMenu team responding saying they are finishing the project.

Now Rockstar Games has finally started taking GTA Online security seriously after 9 years since it came out, along with this mod also allegedly getting illegal GTAV code and being able to bypass Battle-eye, it was quite clear that this mod would be targeted by Take -. Two Interactive.
