In XDefiant, in theory you can go to the Practice Zone to try out new weapon loadouts and learn the basics. However, many cannot access it, so let’s explain how to fix that.
How to fix grayed out Practice Zone in XDefiant (Solution)
When you try to access the game modes, you may notice that the Practice Mode is grayed out. There is currently no way to fix it and Ubisoft has not released or addressed a fix for this issue either. Currently, there is no way to access the Practice Zone on PC or Xbox, but if you are on PlayStation 5, there is a workaround for this.
How to fix the XDefiant Practice Zone not working on PS5
To solve this problem on PS5, you will need to start the Practice Zone activity from the XDefiant game menu. To do this, follow these instructions:
- Start XDefiant first.
- Next, exit the game to the PS5 home menu.
- Press down on the D-pad or left analog stick, after which the XDefiant game menu will appear. Here, you’ll notice a bunch of Action Cards including one for the Practice Zone.
- Press Square on the Activity Card and the game will load directly into Practice Zone mode. This is it.
You can also do this process without starting the game first, but I got some errors like the UNIFORM-01 error when I did that. So, loading the game first and then starting the Practice Zone activity should let you load right into the practice zone. It’s a pretty simple process, so you won’t have any problems.
Ubisoft has not released a fix for this issue yet, so this seems to be the only way to access the Practice Zone at least for the PS5. There is currently no workaround for PC and Xbox Series X|S, but if there is, we’ll make sure to update this guide.
