Takeovers in NBA 2K25 allow you to improve your players’ stats during MyPLAYER matches. But to use Takeover boosts and abilities, you have to unlock each one first. Here’s how to activate Takeover in NBA 2K25 and use it in matches.
How to activate Takeover in NBA 2K25
- Unlock Takeover
- You will start from the default Takeover, which has no Takeover capability. To unlock other Takeovers in NBA 2K25you must meet their requirements (learn more about this in the Takeover Postponement section below).
- Select Takeover in the menu.
- Play the MyPLAYER match
- You cannot use Takeovers in other NBA 2K25 modes.
- Fill the Takeover meter
- Consistently perform actions corresponding to your chosen Takeover.
- Activate Takeover
- Once the Takeover gauge fills up, you’ll activate the Takeover skill, greatly increasing your performance temporarily.
