One of the most exciting ways to improve your character’s abilities is by evolving or awakening your devil fruits. As a beginner, mastering this skill in Fruit Battlegrounds can lead to a significant power boost, potentially changing the course of your gameplay. Awakening Fruit in Fruit Battlegrounds
Regardless of your devil fruit, all selectable fruits follow the same awakening procedure in Fruits Battlegrounds. Let’s take the Light fruit as an example for this guide. By fulfilling three specific criteria, you can evolve it to Light V2. This universality of the awakening process should instill confidence in you, knowing that you can apply these steps to any fruit you own.
Get to Level 300
Equip the fruit and complete any high-earning XP missions in the game, such as hitting Kaido, Macroor Cake Queen NPC bosses.
Hit Kaido five times using the Light
Indicative of the name, hit Kaido more than five times using the Light fruit. You can find him in Wano on the Living Floor of the Mansion.
The battle is simple: avoid Kaido’s swinging movements with the Hassaikai, a defensive technique in Fruit Battlegrounds, and the burning flames from his mouth during Dragon transformation, a powerful attack form. Stay far away to avoid his attacks. Eliminate him more than five times to tick these criteria.
Collect 30 titles
The final requirement is to collect more than 30 titles in the game. Titles are special achievements that you can earn through activities such as leveling up your devil fruits, cutting down trees, or getting higher prizes. Each title you earn unlocks new abilities for your character. You can find the list of all titles and their unlock requirements by clicking on the Titles button from the main menu.
Once you have successfully completed all the requirements, it is time for the final step. Visit the Momo NPC outside the Life floor where you had your epic battle with Kaido.
