Hades 2 is now in Early Access and players are sure to encounter returning characters from the first game in their gameplay. One of the returning characters is Hypnos, Sleep Incarnate, who is always asleep. Here's how and if you can awaken Hypnos in Hades 2.
Can you wake up Hypnos in Hades 2?
While Hypnos cannot be fully awakened at this time, he can talk to you a bit in his sleep if you give him Nectar. At first approaching him won't do anything but giving him Nectar as a gift will make him mumble a few words. Giving him Nectar at first will make him mutter '”welcome to the….haah,zzzzz…'' (after which he goes back to sleep). Later, Melinoe will say that the Nectar will be waiting for him when he wakes up.
It seems that only Nectar can be used to wake him up, at least a little. Hades II is still in early access, so it could be that Hypnos' role will be more prevalent later in the game's cycle. For now, though, he's resting while we give him some sweet Nectar.
How to get Nectar in Hades 2
Nectar is used to improve your relationship with other characters in the game (like with Hypnos). It can be found in many ways in Hades 2, such as by clearing encounters in Erebus and other places, and from the Miserable Broker and Charon's Shop. It is classified as uncommon so you will have to be a little lucky to get this item.
