You have to work together with your friend to complete symbolic puzzles in Duel Destiny. The goal is to read the symbols to the other players who will shoot them. You will repeat the process several times during which you will either dictate or shoot. There are three rooms with symbols.

  • Room #1 – Dark subclass player shoots three symbols.
  • Room #2 – A light underclass player shoots three symbols.
  • Room #3 – Each player must shoot two symbols (four in total).

If you make a mistake, you will have to repeat it with a different set of symbols. If this isn’t complex enough, you’ll have to deal with enemies in the process. Each player must handle enemies vulnerable to Light or Dark while immune to the opposing damage type.

To solve the nine floating rocks (fragments) puzzle, you must identify which ones are connected to the center. Even though you only see three disconnected rocks, your friend will see different rocks disconnected there (six in total).

To solve the puzzle, you have to shoot three still connected ones. To make your communication easier, mark bits 1 to 9 clockwise. So if you see, for example, 1-5-7 rocks, and your friend sees 2-3-4, it means that you have to shoot rocks on positions 6-8-9.

To make it more challenging, to be able to shoot floating rocks, you must first kill a nearby Tormentor enemy. Whoever kills him first will get the Harmonic Sundering buff that takes 30 seconds. Only the sandblasted player (you or your teammate) can shoot disconnected rocks.

The floating shards puzzle is modified here as both players have to look at separate circles of rocks to find one that both have. If you read it like a clock, let’s say you have a 2-4-7-8 combination. Your teammate, for example, will have 2-5-9-10, which means that you both have a bound rock (fragment) on position 2. You need to quickly shoot rock number 2. Combination changes quickly, so be ready. You have to do this three times in a row.

Should I kill my teammate in Dual Destiny in Destiny 2?

You can choose to fight your teammate at the end of the Dual Destiny mission or split up as friends. Choose a patch in front of you if you decide to double your friend and start a battle. If you value honor and friendship, choose a patch behind you. As it happens, this duel is just for fun, like there is no penalty for a defeated player. Therefore, whichever you choose, you’ll both be rewarded with a class-specific Prismatic Exotic item.
