How to deal with all status effects in Dragon’s Dogma 2

In Dragon’s Dogma 2, status effects are called Debilitations, and they are often critical effects that can completely cripple you in battle. Fortunately, there is a method that allows you to deal with every type of status effect in the game, so that’s all you need to know.

How to remove all status effects in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Usually, when you suffer from debility, you want to get rid of it as soon as possible. Depending on which one(s) you have on you, there are items specific to removing each and every status in the game. These can be created, provided you have the right combination of resources, and are, sometimes, removed by natural means.

However, I don’t recommend using all but one of these due to the weight restrictions present in the game. More on this soon.

Soaked

Soaked is a status effect that allows you to take enhanced negative effects from other sources in most cases. It is caused when you are doused in some type of water, such as taking a short dip in a lake. If it rains, you are also automatically inflicted with Drenched.

While Soaked, if you are hit by Ice Damage, you become significantly easier to freeze. If you hit Lightning Damage, you will take massive damage and be stunned by the attack. When affected by Fire Damageyou’ll just take less damage from it.

The best way to remove wetted is to use a Panacea, which additionally heals you. You can also use Mage’s Halidom a spell that cures the effect.

damaged

Blighted is a status effect that causes creep Poison Damage over time, with each application increasing the lethality. Excessive application of Blighted will cause you to take significant poison damage, so it is recommended that you remove this as soon as you get it.

The best way to rid yourself of Blighted is to use a Panacea. However, if you don’t have one on you, then Halidom and Detox Decoction can delete the status as well.

frost

Freeze is an extremely dangerous status effect that slows you down until you are completely frozen. You can suffer from Frostbite continuously Ice Damage.

This terrible status can be removed using a Panacea or Warm Salve. Additionally, suffering Fire Damage can potentially undo the effects of Frostbite.

petrification

Petrification is another terrible status effect that slows you to a crawl until you can’t act. However, unlike Frostbite, if you are Petrified completely, you will die instantly. It is caused by suffering from attacks that have to stone as a side effect.

Removal of Stiffness is done through the use of a Panacea or Unattainable Elixir.

Silence

Depending on your Summoning, the Silence status effect either has little effect on you or cripples your game plan. Silence prevents all speech and completely inhibits your ability to cast spells. Generally, you will either suffer Silenceton at the same time or not at all. There is rarely a stack because this status does not have a damage type that can cause you to suffer it.

Removal of Silence is done by using a Panacea or Soothing Brew.

sleep

Sleep state is annoying and more common than many of the others on this list. It prevents you from doing all the actions. Sleep is caused by accumulating the Sleep attribute, most commonly encountered when facing Harpies.

Dispelling Sleep is done by allowing a support oriented Pawn to wake you up, using a Panaceaor Waking Powder.

tarred

Tarred is a status effect that does almost nothing to you and has no damage component. It is caused when you are spilled in an oil well and makes you very vulnerable to the Burnt out status effect.

Tarred removal can be done by using Allheal Elixir, Panacea, or Halidom bewitch

Burnt out

Torched is the most damaging status effect, and it can kill very quickly in high pressure circumstances. It is caused when you suffer excessively Fire Damage and it is much easier to apply when tarred.

Torched is removed using a Panaceasoaking in a water source, rain, suffering the Soaked status, and through Quenching Syrup.

unconscious

Unconscious is a status effect that cripples you by limiting your ability to act and reducing your mobility. It is often caused when suffering from excess Lightning and blunt damage

To remove the Unconscious status, simply drink a Panacea or Sobering Tonic.

You may have noticed a pattern with my suggestion to counter every status with a Panacea. That’s because Panacea is the miracle drug in Dragon’s Dogma 2. It removes every single status effect you can suffer and can be purchased at most general stores throughout the game.
