Much like Rust, Palworld or Minecraft, Once Human’s basic building system sits at the core of the game. There is such a degree of freedom and customization behind it that your tastes are constantly evolving. But can you remove your base in Once Human? Keep reading to find out.
Can you remove your base in Once Human?
Thinking of trying a different design or layout with your base in Once Human? Do you have a different vision for the interior decoration? Then you probably want to know if you can fast remove your base and pick up all the materials used in construction.
Well, I’m happy to report that the short answer is: yes, you can delete your base in Once Human. But it’s not an entirely intuitive or even that fast of a process.
The simplest way to clear your base in Once Human is to enter a building regime hitting the B key on the computer (which is the only platform it’s available on besides mobile…for now). Then highlight the section of your base you want to delete and press the R key to tear down the piece in question. Don’t worry – you get back the materials you used to build the structure when you tear it down.
Instead of spamming the R key like crazy through your base, I recommend focusing on removing the foundation pieces of your house to dismantle the whole building quickly. These would be whatever basis surface the house is supported by – floorboards, stilts, or any similar structure.
Also be careful when handling storage breasts and water tanks when disassembling your base. You may want to highlight these items in build mode and use the F key to transfer them from the base that is to be removed and onto a nearby structure. I recommend building a 2×2 surface, or however large to accommodate your items, and moving them there before removing your base itself.
If you accidentally remove some important storage boxes or water tanks – don’t worry. The items in them will automatically go into safe storage in your Vault. Just be sure to check your Vault regularly capacityas if it is full, the things may not enter it.
