How to fix Loot Mapper not working in Wuthering Waves
I’m the type of gamer that likes to complete as much content as I can, especially in an open world game like Wuthering Waves. So, seeing my Loot Mapper at 0/3 when I haven’t used any of them is frustrating. Sometimes, the button itself is even unclickable. If the same thing is happening to you, here’s why it’s happening and what you can do in the meantime.
Why isn’t Wuthering Waves Loot Mapper working?
First, this is caused by the latest WuWa warmup/update. It often triggers after one of three things: opening the Loot Mapper indoors, opening it while in a pocket dimension (like the Tower of Doom), or switching from another utility to it after you’ve finished the main story.
In addition to the Loot Mapper, you will find other game utilities suddenly not working, such as the one that summons a water tornado (for us). The most informed decision we can make is that Run is trying to fix something in the background and has temporarily disabled some of the “less used” tools to fix a bigger problem. Not that anyone uses the Loot Mapper or anything.
Uninstalling and reinstalling the game won’t fix it. You have to wait for a patch. Report the bug to Run with us so it gets noticed faster.
How to use the Loot Mapper while waiting for a patch in Wuthering Waves
It’s no secret that Wuthering Waves isn’t exactly the most optimized game for PC. But the good news is that the mobile experience is a bit better. The heat did not clog the Loot Mapper in the mobile version of the game-and hopefully, that is not a “yet” circumstance.
