How to fix Ubisoft Connect stuck on initialization
Like any online game launcher, Ubisoft Connect will experience various issues. Some might say that UC experiences more than the regular amount. If you’re struggling with gameplay, here’s how to fix Ubisoft Connect stuck on initialization.
How to fix the initialization error for Ubisoft Connect
For anyone who plays games with Ubisoft Connect, you’ll know that it’s a launcher with a lot of issues. I don’t think I’ve started a game of Siege on the first try without it restarting about three times.
If you’re stuck initializing for Ubisoft Connect, there are a few things you can do to try to resolve it. first, turn off Ubisoft Connect completely before reopening it. Go up to Finish Task it in the Task Manager.
If that doesn’t work, then uninstall and reinstall the app. Ubisoft has a full reinstall guide, so be sure to follow it to a T to get everything working properly. Try the launcher, and if the problem persists, you need to go a step further.
A solution that I have seen work for many people is running Ubisoft Connect as manager. To do this:
- Go to your Program files (x86)
- Find the Ubisoft folder
- Open the Ubisoft Game Launcher folder.
- Right click UbisoftConnect.exe
- Choose Properties
- Click on the Compatibility tab
- Choose run this program as an administrator.
- click apply and then OK
Remember that if you use VPN, this could cause problems with Ubisoft Connect working properly. However, I have seen people comment that VPN worked to solve their problems, so it seems to be fifty/fifty whether it causes problems or solves them.
The last solution is to contact Ubisoft customer support. If anyone can help you, hopefully it will be them.
