How to unlock Gyoruntin in Vampire Survivors
The cryptic message in Vampire Survivors, “Forsake victory in favor of sightseeing”, suggests a unique method to unlock the character. Gyoruntin. This task is set in the Carlo Cart stage, which players can access after unlocking it in the Workshop. Here is a detailed breakdown of what you need to do to solve this puzzle:
- Choose Queen Sigma for that mission due to her superior survivability and initial damage capabilities.
- After the stage starts, your character will be placed in a cart that automatically rolls to the right. You will notice that the surrounding monsters mimic your movement.
- Intentionally slow down the cart by moving to the left. This action allows enemies to overtake your cart, setting the stage for the secret unlock.
- Keep slowing down until a swarm of Gyoruntins appear.
- Be careful at this stage; these enemies have significant damage potential and can easily kill your character. The first time I did this run I was exhausted almost immediately.
- Eliminate all Gyoruntins with extreme prejudice. Upon their defeat, a coffin containing Gyoruntin will appear. After the stage ends, you can get Gyoruntin for 38,000 Gold.
- You may have a hard time spotting the coffin, especially if the crowds are covering it. Just remove some laggards to be able to see it. This happens because the coffin model can get stuck between the cart objects.

Gyoruntin is an impressive character, distinguished by remarkable +50 Magnet stat and +50% Curse and Greed, making him a great choice for farming if you build him a certain way. His unique weapon escalates in power with each level, gaining 1% Curse and the ability to bypass barriers, thus hitting enemies beyond physical obstructions.
