To get the most out of the Arrancar's armor, you need a rare item called Hierro Plating. However, you will have to meet certain conditions to get this item, so I have outlined all the instructions to help you get Hierro Plating in Type Soul.
How to get Hierro Plating in Type Soul
There are mainly three ways to get Hierro Plating in Type Soul:
- Win an Attack
- Buy from the Karakura Town Raid Vendor
- Defeat Bawabawa in Hueco Mundo
Let me break down each method separately to help you understand how Hierro Plating farming works and what obstacles I encountered on my adventure.
Win an Attack
The first and easiest way to get Hierro Plating is to participate in a Raid. In Type Soul, there are two types of attacks: Fractional attacks and Karakura Town Attacks. Faction Raids occur every 40 minutes according to the server time, which is shown on the top of the screen.
During my playthrough, I was able to join a raid at 00:40, 01:20, 02:00, etc. At the same time, Karakura Town Raids begin at the beginning of each hoursuch as 01:00, 02:00, 03:00, etc.
The raid pits players against each other in a race to defeat a boss. The winning team gets a chance to claim some valuable rewards, including Hierro Plating.
Buy from the Karakura Town Raid Vendor
The second way to get Hierro Plating is to buy it from the Karakura Town Raid Vendor. The Seller sells Hierro Plating for 40,000 Kan eachwhich in my opinion is quite expensive but also guarantees you a piece of the material.
Defeat Bawabawa
Bawabawa is one of the main bosses in Type Soul that drops a Hierro Plating when you defeat it. The boss follows a reproductive cycle of 1.5 hours in the game. This means it will appear sometimes as 1:30, 3:00, 4:30, etc. So be sure to pay attention to the server clock, similar to what I mentioned, attack method.

How to use Hierro Plating in Type Soul
As I mentioned earlier, Hierro Plating is an item that is used to upgrade the armor of an Arrancar, also known as Hierro. The Hierro defense bonus goes up to 15% from 10% with one Hierro Plating. With a second Hierro Plating, the defense bonus climbs to 21% from 15%.
You can activate Hierro Plating by pressing the “U” key on your keyboard, and it lasts for 10 hits at base level.
