Courier’s Trial Keystones are Genshin Impact Quest Items that can be obtained from solving three puzzles across the Ancient Temple. These are used to trigger a Scions of the Canopy World Quest called Into the Night, What is the Night. Follow my walkthrough below to solve the puzzles and get three Courier Trial Floats.
All Courier Trial Keystone locations and puzzle solutions in Genshin Impact – Into the Night, What is the prerequisite of the Night World Quest
To get the Courier’s Trial Keystones, you must transform into a Yumkasauri and solve three puzzles around the Ancient Temple. The keystones can be found inside the Exquisite Chest rewards, so don’t forget to loot them right after. You can solve the puzzles in any order.
Courier’s Test Keystone #1
Go to the area circled above in Ancestral Temple to find the first puzzle. Start by transforming into Yumkasauri with the help of the nearby symbol.
Now that you are Yumkasauri, follow the steps below to solve the puzzle:
- Use the Elemental Skill button to take the ball off the post.
- Press and hold the Elemental Ability button to target the center of the portal-looking mechanism. Release to throw the ball into the mechanism.
When the ball successfully enters the mechanism, it will deactivate and reveal an Exquisite Chest reward. Loots the Delicate Chest get Courier’s Trial Keystone, plus other rewards.
Courier’s Test Keystone #2
Go to the area circled in the image above to find the second puzzle on a broken bridge. You must be transformed into a Yumkasauri. If you are not, go to the Teleport Waypoint at the center and transform with the symbol provided.
This puzzle requires careful timing, so follow my instructions carefully. First, use the Elemental Skill to pick up the green ball.
Next, press and hold the Elemental Ability to target the orange mechanism on the other side of the bridge. Aim for the correct center, then release to throw the ball. The ball will bounce right back in your direction.
By doing this step, don’t cross the bridge because you need to be near the locked gate for the next step.
As soon as you throw the ball into the mechanism, immediately use the Elemental Skill button to pull the lever next to the gate to unlock it. When the gate unlocks, the ball must go through to solve the puzzle.
Refer to the image above which shows the ball going through the unlocked gate. If it fails to pass the gate, don’t worry because you can try again. I suggest doing these steps as quickly as possible to ensure the gate is open when the ball bounces.
Completing the puzzle will reward you with Tender Breastwhich you need to loot to get a Courier Trial Keystone.
Courier’s Test Keystone #3
The third puzzle is located in the area circled above. You also have to transform into Yumkasauri to solve it. You can find a Saurian symbol via the Teleport Waypoint for a quick transformation.
When you get to the puzzle area, the first thing to do is attack the mechanism with a Normal Attackwhich will trigger it to face the locked gate. A small cutscene will play showing the animation, so you know you’re on the right track.
Next, grab the blue ball using the Yumkasauri’s Elemental Ability.
Next, press and hold the Elemental Ability button to target the center of the mechanism. Release to throw the ball through it. As soon as you throw the ball into the mechanism, immediately attack it with a Normal Attack to trigger the gate to unlock. Doing so will allow the ball to pass through.
Another cutscene will play, showing the ball entering another mechanism in the unlocked gate. When successfully passed, the puzzle will be completed and you will be rewarded with a Trick Chest. Loots the Chest to get Courier’s Trial Keystone.
