Wuthering Waves utilizes an energy system to limit each player’s farming capacity per day, allowing progression to spread over a longer period. When you’ve run out of Wave Plates, you can refill them with Crystal Solvents to continue farming for the day. Here’s everything you need to know about Crystal Solvents in Wuthering Waves.
How to get Crystal Solvent in Wuthering Waves
Crystal Solvents are limited items that can only be obtained sparingly throughout the game. Here are all the ways you can get them.
Pioneering Podcast
The Pioneer Podcast is the Wuthering Waves battle pass where you can complete tasks to gain EXP and level up to gain rewards—including Crystal Solvents.
Through the free Public Channel, you can get them by reaching levels five, 15, 25, 35, and 45, giving you a total of five Crystal Solvents per upgrade. With the paid Insider Channel, you’ll get Crystal Solvents by reaching levels five, 10, 15, 20, 25, 35 and 45, giving you two more per upgrade.
Milestones
Go to the Terminal, click on the Guidebook, then go to the second tab to find the Milestones section, where you can complete one-time tasks for various rewards. In addition to Crystal Solvents, you can also get Astrites, Data Bank EXP, Echoes, Union EXP and other amazing resources that could give you a jump start in the early game.
Database
By absorbing new Echoes and filling the Echo Gallery, you can level up the Databank to gain rewards crucial to progression. Leveling up will merit you with Astrites and the occasional Crystal Solvent, all while increasing your Stamina and Echo drop.
Union Level
Awakening Journey is a permanent level-up event that aims to help new players gain resource boosts simply by raising their Union Level. Between the milestones, you can get a total of six Crystal Solvents by leveling up to 25 and 35. These are one-time rewards, and the event page will disappear after you claim the final rewards at level 45.
How to use Crystal Solvent in Wuthering Waves
Crystal Solvents can be used to instantly refill 60 Waveplates. It would normally cost 60 Astrites or require six hours of waiting to get the same benefit, so Crystal Solvents can be a huge help on days when you’re itching to farm for resources as quickly as possible. To use them:
- Go to the Terminal and select the Backpack on the second page (B abbreviation for PC).
- Go to the Assets tab.
- Click on the Crystal Solvent.
- Click the Use button below the Crystal Solvent description.
Should you use Crystal Solvents as a new player in Wuthering Waves?
Crystal Solvents are good to use as a starter, as spending Wave Plates will make it easier to increase your Union Level and SOL3 Phase. Early game progression depends on maxing out your SOL3 Phase as quickly as possible to unlock every aspect of the game, so it can be beneficial to use your Crystal Solvents early on. Although rare, you’ll continue to get Crystal Solvents over time, especially through the Pioneer Podcast, which refreshes with every major update.
However, there is no rule that says you have to use these precious resources. I personally like to save Crystal Solvents for days when I want to farm quickly for Resonator and weapon upgrade materials, so deciding to use them or not is entirely a matter of preference.
