How to get every tool in The Rogue Prince of Persia

In the Rogue Prince of Persia, players must find and buy most of the tools to unlock them. I will explain where to find each tool, how much they cost, and how to use them in The Rogue Prince of Persia.

There are six tools for players to collect in The Rogue Prince of Persia. Two of these are provided to players at the start, while players must find and purchase the other four in order to use them.

Compound Bow

Location: Available from the start

Price in Forge: free of charge

The Compound Bow is a basic secondary weapon. It shoots an arrow in a straight line from the player to the first obstacle in its path. It is simple but practical. Players will start each run with the Compound Bow in their tool slot.

Chakram

Location: Available from the start

Price in Forge: free of charge

The Chakram is the second of the two weapons available from the start of the game. It is similar to a boomerang in that it returns to the player after being thrown. Enemies are damaged by the Chakram both when it is thrown and when it returns.

Grappling Hook

Location: Available after the Forge is unlocked.

Price in Forge: 50 Spirit Glows

The Grappling Hook is the easiest of the four hidden tools to find and unlock. When used, it will grab an enemy and pull them close to the player. It will stun that enemy in the process as well. Players can also use the Grappling Hook to pull objects nearby.

Stealth Spirit

Location: The Equipment Chest in the Academy

Price in Forge: 30 Spirit Glows

The Stealth Spirit pulls the Prince towards an enemy in front of him quickly. It will damage the enemy slightly and position the Prince behind them if they are within range of the Stealth Spirit. It’s great for dodging attacks or for use with Medallions that give bonuses for attacking enemies from behind. If there is no enemy in front of the Prince, he will simply advance an equivalent distance.

Toothed Saw

Location: The Equipment Chest in the Aqueduct.

Price in Forge: 40 Spirit Glows

The Saw Tooth is identical to the Chakram but with the addition of spikes. It does more damage to enemies than the Chakram at the cost of damaging the Prince when it is used. You’ll want to use it very carefully to avoid taking yourself out of the fight.

Gauntlet by Berude

Location: Dropped by Berude after she is defeated.

Price in Forge: 50 Spirit Glows

Berude’s Gauntlet is the hardest of the tools to obtain, but it is the most physically powerful. After use, players will jump to the side and smash their first down. This will damage enemies in that area, but it will also send small shockwaves to the left and right. I’ve found that it doesn’t recharge as quickly as other tools, but that balances out the sheer power it has.
