How to unlock Wastelander Magneto in Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 3
You must complete Battle Pass Quests to unlock Wastelander Magneto. But you’ll have to wait until those challenges are available in July 2024. Until then, you’ll only see this version of the famous mutant in promotional images and trailers. If you’re worried you’ll miss out on this Fortnite skin, don’t be. Professor Xavier’s enemy is too important to be released as a mere addition to a Mad Max-inspired theme.
While playing with post-apocalyptic garbage trucks sounds like a lot of fun, Magneto is a centerpiece of the A Fortnite x Marvel crossover will come later in the summer. By the way, I fully expect to see his magnetic superpowers as a Mythic weapon. It would be awesome to be able to crush cars and lift metal objects at enemies. But for that, we will have to wait for July.
How to play as Magneto in Fortnite
What we do know is that you can play as Magneto in Battle Royale, LEGO Fortnite, Festival and Rocket Racing modes. Now we just need to be patient and wait for mutants. I have a feeling that the arrival of X-Men will coincide with the Deadpool & Wolverine movie premiere, which is set for July 26, 2024. Since the movie is set to bring mutants to the Marvel Cinematic Universe, it’s only fitting that Magneto be a part of that event.
