After the recent Fischmas update, Fisch received another big content drop that added a new explorable island, fish, wands and much more. Avalanche Rod is one of the new items added to the game’s rod with the Northern Expedition update and here is a guide on how you can get it.
Where to find the Avalanche Staff in Fisch (Location)
The Avalanche Rod can be purchased for 35,000 credits from the summit of the North Summit. You will also need the glider to reach the wand, so make sure you have it before starting the quest. Start boarding from the Moosewood dock and sail out to sea to your left. Look for the Northern Expedition marker as shown in the image above. Upon reaching the indicator, you will encounter a portal that you must enter.
After spinning through the portal, keep sailing straight and you’ll soon come upon the North Summit Island. Go to the camps that I indicated in the image above and you will see a series of ladders leading in from the island. These ladders are ultimately a trace which you can follow to reach the top of the mountain. Cross a few camps, climb several ladders, and hug the mountain while traversing the cliffs.
You will then reach a place with no ladder connecting the two cliffs. To cross this gap without falling, equip the glider from your inventory and slide your way to the other side. There is not much distance left to cover from here; climb some ladders and you’ll reach another campsite. Look for the Avalanche Staff placed next to a tent (see the picture above). To add the wand to your inventory, spend 35,000 credits and make it yours permanently.
How to get the Slider in Fisch
A glider is a tool that allows you to easily cover otherwise inaccessible distances in Fisch. It costs 900 credits and can be purchased from the Fisherman An NPC located deep inside Roslit Bay. There is an alternative but slightly more difficult way to get the Slider: buy it from the Merchant in the Desert Pocketwhich requires the Diving Gear to achieve.
Fisch Avalanche Rod Stats and Best Charms
I highly recommend that you add the Avalance Rod to your collection if you are new to Fisch as it has great stats for the money:
- Lure Speed: 40%
- good luck: 68%
- Control: 0.15
- Endurance: 10%
- Maximum Kg: 65,000 Kg
The Avalanche Staff is described as “a cool staff with an icy blue spiral design and glowing blue accents.” It looks good and does a good job at catching fish thanks to its excellent control, luck and maximum weight for the price. Some good enchantments you can get for the Avalanche Staff to improve its usefulness are:
- Durable: 35% boost to Stamina.
- Quality: Increases Luck by 15%, Durability by 5%, and Draw Speed by 15%.
- Hasty: Decreases Log Time by 55%.
