As well as the Megalodon shark hunt and the Ancient Island added to Fisch on November 30, 2024, another event stealthily made its way to servers without much fanfare. You may have noticed a new NPC on Moosewood – talk to him, and he’ll tell you all about Fischgiving!
Location of Fisch Turkey – How to Catch a Turkey
Turkeys are regionlessmeaning they can be caught anywhere in Fisch. The thing that makes turkeys hard to catch is their -65% Progress Speed. To combat this, you will need a sturdy fishing rod, such as the Standing Wand (30% Stamina) or the King’s Road (35% Endurance). There are no other rods in Fisch that have better durability stats than these two.
You should also equip an an insect as bait, as these are the preferred bait of Turkey. You will have a higher chance of catching Melab with a Bug than another type of bait. Turkeys like it too autumnso if there is no fall on your server, consider server hopping until you find one where there is fall.

If you’re short on Insect Lures, you can get more of both Common Boxes and Lure Boxes. Common Crates are fishable, but Bait Crates are readily available on Moosewood for 120C$.
What is Fischgiving?
Fischgiving is an in-game event in Fisch that celebrates Thanksgiving. Turkeys were released in Fisch’s waters for the event, but as a Limited rarity “fish”, they are difficult to catch. Unlike the Archeology Hunt event, you don’t need to do anything special to start playing the event. Simply get out with your favorite fishing rod and start reeling in fish. One of them might be Turkey!
How to End the Fishing Event
There is a lot of confusion on YouTube and on the Fisch Discord server about what to do with the Turkey. There is no “end” to the Fischgiving event, you just catch turkeys for fun. This isn’t a bug as far as we know, and the devs haven’t revealed anything else about the event.
