How to get Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome in Dragon’s Dogma 2

After setting foot in the magical city of the elves, the Holy Tree, you will likely have Glyndwr translate the Elvish language for you. After completing his questline, you have no choice but to find a Pawn in the Rift with the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization.

The problem with hiring a Pawn dedicated to Woodland Wordsmith is that they are very low level. In this guide, I’ll explain how to get the Woodland Wordsmith’s Tome in Dragon’s Dogma 2 so you don’t have to hire a random pawn that isn’t right for your party.

How to get Woodland Wordsmith Specialization Tome in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Specializations are a new addition to the Dragon’s Dogma franchise. Instead of having two Pawn Traits, you only have one and a Specialization. These Specials are hard to find as you will need them befriend specific NPCs giving them gifts to claim their respective Tomes.

The Woodland Wordsmith is especially useful in the Sacred Tree because you’ll need the Specialization to even automatically translate the Elvish Language. Without the Specialization, you’ll just be reading a bunch of gibberish characters, even when interacting with Elven Merchants.

To get the Woodland Wordsmith Tome, you must befriend the innkeeper, Cough, in Sacred Arbor. I easily achieved this by giving her a bunch of Sunflowers and Moonglow every day for approx two to three days.

On the third dayKough will approach you after you enter the inn and give you the Woodland Wordsmith Tome. You can manually consume the Tome to give your main pawn the Woodland Wordsmith Specialization.

After doing so, you can send your low level pawn and hire a more powerful one with any Specialization while you still can. to understand the Elvish language!
