The Return of a Wild Heart is Lingyang’s Companion Story, a special quest type in Wuthering Waves dedicated to exploring character backgrounds. As you play the quest, you will be asked to go in the direction of the bell to find Lingyang. Here’s how to do it.
Go towards the bell in Wuthering Waves – Lingyang Companion Story guide
While this search target is active, the navigator will not direct you to the exact source of the ringtones. However part of the map will be highlighted to signify that the bell sounds are found only within the enclosed space. When you exit the search area, the bell sounds will no longer be heard.
The game implied that you intended to follow the sound of the bell, but the sound doesn’t actually get louder the closer you get to the source, and the bell sounds the same anywhere in the search area. Instead, the objective requires searching Acoustic Printswhich are faint images of sound waves.
While running around the search area, follow the direction the Axtic Prints are facing to direct your character to the right path. They will keep appearing and disappearing as you go, so keep an eye on the screen. If you have trouble seeing them during the day, change the in-game time to night for better visibility.
You can also cheat by going straight to the southern part of the highlighted area on the mini-map, where the Acoustic Prints will point in the direction of Lingyang. Approaching Lingyang will trigger a dialogue, completing the objective.
