How to increase Debilitated Resistance in Dragon’s Dogma 2

Weakening works similarly to JRPGs’ negative status effects, such as sleep, silence, and poison in the Final Fantasy franchise. In this guide, I will explain how to increase Weak Resistance in Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Armor increases Debilitated Resistance

The easiest way to boost Weakened Resistance in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is by equipping armor with +x% under the Weakened Resistance tab. Each icon represents a Weakness (refer to the image above), and as far as we know, there are no cap on the resistors.

Imagine this scenario: Weakness has invisible bar that goes up to 100. Each debuff ability of an enemy fills that invisible bar by 10. If you have 10% resistance to that debuff, then instead of +10 to your “Debuff bar”, you will get +9 (by doing it). 9/100). Once you fully reach the capthe enemies will apply their weakening to you

Ideally, you want a 100% Weakening Resistance on your character, so you’ll never have to worry about getting any status effects.

Rings grant Weakened Immunity

Some rings give the Originator or the main Pawn with Weakened Immunity. It’s an easy way to cover two Weak immunities so your armor can handle the rest. Here are all the rings I found that grant Weakened Immunity during my playthrough:

Name of Equipment Weakened Immunity Location
Ring of Motility petrification Agamemnon Ruins Apothecary – Agamemnon Ruins
Ring of Desiccation Soaked Boda’s Armory – Bakbattahl
Ring of Repulsion tarred Boda’s Armory – Bakbattahl
Ring of Melting frost Boda’s Armory – Bakbattahl
Ring of Purification damaged A Poisonous Proposal Side Quest – Bakbattahl
Ring of Extinction Fire Volcanic Island Armory – Volcanic Island
Ring of Insomnia sleep Volcanic Island Armory – Volcanic Island
Ring of Loquacity Silence Volcanic Island Armory – Volcanic Island

While playing Dragon’s Dogma: Dark Arisen, I noticed this Weakening Resistance there is a lot more important than Elemental Resistance, and the same goes for Dragon’s Dogma 2.

Some Deblitations basically lower your elemental resistance and increase your chances of getting specific status effects (eg Soaked = Lightning and Ice Resistance Decrease + more chance to get Unconscious and Frostbite status effect). In conclusion, I recommend maximizing your Debilitated Resistance rather than elementary.
