Grand Theft Auto 5 offers the ultimate sandbox experience with countless vehicles, settings, weapons and characters to try out. While you can use cheats to instantly spawn vehicles and control certain game mechanics, custom mods allow you to do a lot more with a simple click of a button. This is how you can install Kiddions, one of the best custom mod menus, in GTA 5.
How to download and use the Kiddions mod menu in GTA 5
The first step is to download the Kiddions mod menu file from a trusted source (in this case, Creator LilLobby’s Discord server. Open the Discord app on your computer, accept the invitation to join the server, then go to the LilLobby server. Scroll down to the Grand Theft Auto channel, open the pinned messages top right, and look for the Kiddions mod download menu link there (see image for directions).
Click the link and it will download the required folder for you. Unzip the compressed file and extract its contents to a place where you can easily access it (I keep mine in the Downloads folder). The next step is launch GTA 5 using Steam or Epic Games (whichever launcher you own the game on). Go to the story mode and wait for the character to load; I don’t suggest using the mod menu in GTA Online because it can get you banned.
Once the game is running, press Alt + Enter on your keyboard to switch your game to windowed display mode. Hit the Windows key to reveal the taskbar and open the Kiddions mod menu folder as shown in the image above. Double click the modest-menu application and the Kiddions mod menu will appear in the game.
Note: After the Bottom Dollar Bounties update, the mod fails to launch in GTA 5. You may have to wait a while before the mod makers fix the bug and relaunch the mod menu.
You can now use this mod menu to make endless mods to the game, such as spawning vehicles, changing the environment, teleporting and much more. To navigate through the menu, use the number on your keyboard, and if you don’t have it, bring up the on-screen keyboard by pressing Ctrl + Windows + O. The navigation keys for the Kiddions mod menu are:
- Numpad 8 & Numpad 2 to go up and down respectively
- Numpad 4 & Numpad 6 to decrease and increase the value respectively
- Numpad 5 to change or activate an option and enter
- Numpad 0 to go back
- F5 to show or hide the menu
