Getting the main stat you want for a Relic is easier now thanks to crafting, but its sub-stats? Not so much. Plus, when you get the substats you need, your updates run DEF. Although this guide cannot help you get SPD, Crit Rate and Crit DMG on all your Relics in Honkai: Star Rail, it can help you run your updates into the statistics you need.
How to 'manipulate' your Relic upgrades in Honkai Star Rail
First, what we teach you is not so much manipulation calculated guess. Thanks to YouTuber's efforts Bernard Pangan and his colleagues, we are now able determine which substats might run on a given day.
According to their data, substat rolls depend on three factors:
- The day you roll out your updates
- Your account's server
- The current patch (it mixes up the numbers sometimes)
For example, on a Saturday in an account of America Honkai: Star Rail, there is a good chance that one of your first three rolls will enter the second substate.
Instead of doing complicated math on your side, Bernard created this relic datasheet update record your team's daily data for anyone to access. He's just asking you that copy the sheet as a separate, personal file if you want to change the dates and convert numbers so that their data is not overwritten.

How reliable is substatic “handling” in Honkai Star Rail?
Even if there is a 30% chance for you to run the substatic you want at a given time, that still means 70% of it will go elsewhere. In the end, what we have are still calculated guesses. What I will say, however, is that this data probably rolls on the substatic I want 2-3 times out of five updates. I've been stacking Relics with ~20% Crit DMG thanks to it, which is awesome.
Again, all this data does is alert you when the optimal day (and time for some regions) update your Relics are. This increases your chances of not getting garbage rolls for days but does not guarantee a god roll. Try praying to the deity of Aventurine, maybe?
